The only reason I even know about it is because my SIL (in medical line) told me I am the opposite of White Coat (which i thought was just something made up for banter, but is apparently a thing)- "masked hypertension" is normal blood pressure in the doctor's office but high readings outside of the office. Masked hypertension is easy to miss, and can occur during the day or night. [source.]
