You need to call Celcom to request public IP after installation. Then everything should work fine.

hi all, my current plan is Unifi turbo upgrade 500Mbps and the contract will end on 30 December 2022. I pay RM199 for this currently.

I plan to switch to Celcom Fibre 300Mbps as they have promo for RM100 only unlimited data. I have MEGA postpaid plan with Celcom also. They said the bill will combine into one.

Just want to ask is this a good jump? haha

Is it compatible to use Mikrotik router? Just to know that this also will use Internet VLAN.

Does Celcom throttle/cap the speed for P2P download (torrent)?

I would say it's a good jump plus some saving if you do not need 500mbps. Yes you can use the Mikrotik router since it can support VLAN. Just remember to call in and ask for public IP after successful installation.
Can search this thread with keyword public IP to understand more.
As for P2P throttle, I have no idea. Hope someone else can answer.

Bring my aunt to celcom today. Was planning to sign up 100mbps for rm99 and the staff offers us 300mbps for Rm100. Seems like a good deal. My aunt is using celcom postpaid Rm98.

And i see that celcom is providing a pretty decent router. Tplink ax1500. Nice.

I'm contemplating to sign up to the Celcom 300mbps package as well. Currently using Maxis broadband with the same speed priced at RM149. Seems like a no brainer to switch to the cheaper Celcom offer.

How much shall customer pay during the subscription period?
Customers only pay RM100 for the monthly fee for the first 24 months. From month 25th onwards, the customer have to pay the normal price of the plan RM140.

How does customer know if they are eligible for the offering?
Customer may visit to any nearest Celcom bluecube, Celcom Certified Partners or check their coverage checker at Celcom Official Website to check on their eligibility. Additionally, this offering is subject to areas where Celcom Home Fibre is serviceable.

How does customer subscribe to the offer?

I’m on Mega Lightning plan so I guess I’m qualified? Apparently the promo ends on 31 December 2022 so need to decide quick lol.

I’m a bit on the fence though since Minister Fahmi recently said we can expect good news on fixed broadband plans in future. Who knows maybe there will be more attractive broadband internet soon?

Nope, Unifi agent call me to offer 300Mbps for RM129 + free 6 months billing. The price still RM129 after 24th month. So I took the offer.

I have registered with an agent from facebook. I don't have Mega plan. He said Mega Plan only need to use on first month then terminate. Fibre monthly fee will remain RM100. Transferred from maxis. I asked him to register me mega80 plan and he keep delaying and said it's okay if register slightly after Fibre installation.

6/12/2022 - Registered Fibre. Maxis counter offer me RM119/mth. The agent mentioned that I need to decline any offer from maxis or I will be charged register cancellation fee RM500. Not sure if it's real.
10/12/2022 - Registered Mega80. I walked in myself
13/12/2022 - 1st bill came in and it is prorated from Rm140 basis

I complained to him but he said next month bill will start RM100. But in Celcom Life App, in unbilled section which means upcoming bill still showing RM140. He keep on saying it will be RM100. Hoping he is not bullshitting me. Let's see the bill next month or I might file a complaint to MCMC.

UPDATE:
18/2/2023 - Terminated my MEGA80 early this month and my 13th Feb bill showing RM106. So I guess price remains RM100 even after terminating my MEGA80 . But still I hope next month bill remains that price too.

I have registered with Celcom yesterday but they have not installed it yet. I need to do a transfer request at Maxis first. My agent had been helpful so far.

How's your with the Celcom Fibre so far compared to Maxis? I'm OK with Maxis, the only reason I'm switching to Celcom is it's cheaper.

Are you existing user of Mega plan? The Skyworth router is pretty good i think. Maybe the antenna positioning affects the range. My Pocophone F1 getting 200+Mbps anywhere in the house with 5 rooms. My family phones, did not get that speed thou. Maybe F1 have better wifi capability.

Yeah i chose to transfer to celcom also because of rm100. The only thing that sucks is I never get hold to the customer service on phone. I think i made call around 7 time this week. always busy and cut off the call. I want to ask for public ip. The CS in whatsapp cannot do detailed task and ask me to call 1111.

I've no problem downloading from torrent. 27MBps on wifi. No issue on the speed i guess.

no problems with p2p and compatible with mikrotik. just change the vlan to 623.

Got my celcom fiber installed today. RM100 for 300mbps. Not bad not bad. Stable.

Yeah according to Celcom blue cube staff. Rm100 for 24 months. 25 month onwards, i can request for account convergence to to enjoy another rebate.
