I bought AAA.
PINENG brand can retain power while in storage and last quite some time in devices. EBL brand came short of expectation; it drains while in storage and flatten too soon in same devices.  |

don't use alkaline or rechargeable for wall clock. they're strong and stresses the circuit. |

tesco's white manganese battery will starts leak just a short while before empty. i use them only for wall clocks.
mrdiy's pairdeer alkaline (green, blue ones) will eventually leak some time after empty. but they surprisingly last quite some time that i no longer buy panasonic, gp, and energizer alkaline. |
