anything to do with spell cast reach, generally most casters would spec for it.

it's not about the kiting. it's about giving you enough distance to run away fast enough when you have too.

having said that, have you reach 70 yet? don't worry if you don't have your best spec atm if you're below 70.

Added on July 16, 2007, 11:26 amhmm...another thing about range is that you probably can cast spells further away from the mob, thereby reducing your aggro generation towards the mob. if you stand closer to the mob, you'll pull threat faster, theorectically unless you're using high-threat spells. that's another theory altogether.
