Probably true, no point waste money on G-sync monitor and I can't afford high end gaming monitor too haha
How about IPS vs TN vs VA for gaming?
These 2 model Asus VG27AQ / VG27BQ is cheaper compare to the LG 27GL850.
TN - worst image quality (in terms of viewing angles, contrast and color accuracy), but often comes with very high refresh rates, best motion clarity and response times, cheap to produce (best for those who play games competitively)
VA - high static contrast ratio and very good image depth (which means deep blacks and punchy colors), better than TN but worse than IPS in terms of viewing angles, capable of high refresh rates, but has the slowest response times and motion clarity. VA panels also can be made to be very large at a reasonable cost too (best for single player/non-competitive gaming, along with general media consumption)
IPS - best viewing angles, high color accuracy (depending how the panel is calibrated), better than VA in terms of motion clarity and response times, worse than VA in terms of contrast and image depth. They are expensive to produce and often can suffer from IPS glow unless a True Wide polarizer is used (only found in professional monitors) (best for those who wants an all rounder monitor)
