QUOTE(pizzaboy @ Jul 7 2008, 11:39 AM) You wanna post up your latest update mister JIB? Jib pulled 440LBS and broke 460LBS off the floor but couldn't lock out. Congrats And Shane did 350LBS but had a lil grip issues. I pulled 420LBS (strapped and chalked) and then suffered a backache. Hehe..Gonna attempt 420LBS again in 2 weeks Saturday. I am unworthy...350lbs.. ... Gotta work on the form, I was deadlifting the broomstick the whole night yesterday, i think i may have gotten it a bit better on the form.

his squat is 308LBS (140KG=308LBS) and bench.......hehe 150LBS the guy doesn't bench. He does shrugs. For the pumP! One thing I noticed, when I pulled the 200 region, I felt 300 was awesome, then I pulled 300 region, then 400 looked amazing, then I pull 400.....it hardly looks impressive anymore....Now I want the 500 range.....and something tells me WHEN i get the 500, I'm gonna ...... In fact, i'm not even lookin at 500, I want 600 already.

Maybe cuz you hardly test your deadlift 1RM and don't train for it? You want a state of Louisiana university training methodology? I have their entire training year template.
It can work for bodybuilders, just drop out the snatch and clean and jerks and replace it with something explosive instead.
But I have to say the chances of you finishing it, is ...0% Let's just say, the difficulty level.....quite close to smolov.

QUOTE(jones007 @ Jul 8 2008, 01:26 AM) how can u deadlift 350 and your form still sucks? lol Legs straighten too fast before the bar goes above the knee..so im literally fully utilizing my back to pull and im gonna suffer back issues if i continue. Damn CNS already programmed to deadlift like that. I have to really work on it. Does anyone else suck in DL or is it just me? This post has been edited by shanecross: Jul 8 2008, 09:22 AM

What'd you think about my benching then? Heh...don't worry, you're not alone. The best guys for benching are those with tortoise arms. .....wait a sec....your arms are tortoise arms.....Oh yea, I'll teach you how to deepen your squat this Saturday. A simple method, just never occurred to me previously. We training rite this Saturday? I don't think I'm goin home this week again.

QUOTE(pedro @ Jul 8 2008, 09:27 AM) Whats tortoise arms?? I suck at DL and squat! Notice how short the tortoise arms are? Short ROM. Easy peasey. Then again, benchpresses are probably one of the worst measures of overall strength so I don't do them anymore. I do close grip benches though. Do you guys want a template for hypertrophy/strength training, that's guaranteed to blow your mind? It was built for olympic lifters, but I think average lifters can work through the first hypertrophy phase. I don't guarantee completion though, the routine seems like a solid mix of bodybuilding and powerlifting systems. Very tough. But sure to increase your overall strength This post has been edited by pizzaboy: Jul 8 2008, 09:35 AM

QUOTE(Sp00kY @ Jul 8 2008, 09:50 AM) Start with hypertrophy till you can't progress. And when I say can't progress, I mean, you've already deloaded and tried again, twice. Move to the speed phase Then strength phase Take the snatches to power snatches and power cleans instead of full squat snatches and cleans if you'd like. Else I'd replace them with a weighted jump or explosive movement This post has been edited by pizzaboy: Jul 11 2008, 04:44 PM
