i prefer silicone strap..

the strap tht comes with seiko diver watches is good..

soft to touch and comfortable to wear..

I will always opt to metal. Silicone is my last choice. Don't know why laugh.gif i often find that seiko rubber strap are too long. Atleast for zulu/nato you can bend and make it shorter.

hey guys, so I've been buying lots of straps to match with my watches over the years.

I'm wondering where do you guys get yours straps from? do you prefer leather / nylon /cloth / nato / steel bracelet band?

lets share our watch strap collection and inspire others.

in the past I've bought straps from these below brands:
1. strapcode
2. barton watch bands
3. nomadwatchworks
4. fossil
5. iStrap
6. various lazada / shopee merchants etc.

below is my current watch and straps collection:

I'm the same with you. metal > leather > silicon

seiko dive rubber strap are no doubt longer than the usual aftermarket straps

however, totally not a fan of zulu / nato though smile.gif

I am not a fan of nylon nato but leather nato I cannot resist. It's look rugged. Picture taken from gugel.

the reason why I'm not into nato straps is because the fact that it feel too long on my wrist that I need to fold the extra length and also will make the watch thickness look way too tall for my small wrist

well traditionally nato requires folding at the end anyway.
and most ppl will cut off the excess so the fold isn't too long.
also that's why i prefer Zulu since it doesn't have the extra flap under the case.

Can anyone kindly advise what is the difference between a nato vs 5-ring zulu? I only notice the squarish ring on nato vs rounded on a zulu...any other differences?

Where can I get a good quality nato or zulu? Any particular brand?

Thanks!!

They key difference between the two straps is how they’re worn on the wrist.

Traditional military style NATO’s have an additional strap, which slides through the two lugs, so you have two straps of nylon under the watch.

ZULU straps only have one long strap, which makes it chunkier around the buckles and the strap is made of thicker nylon. A ZULU strap can also have 3 buckle rings or 5.

just buy those from shopee around or below rm20 and it good to go no need branded ones

I thought the 5-ring zulu also comes with an additional strap that slides thru the lugs ala nato style.

Yup I was also considering the rm20-rm30 variants from shopee but I wonder if the quality is OK... hope the material won't get frayed esp around the edges.

Thanks! Appreciate the input.

Planning to get for my new seiko turtle...I don't really like wearing stainless steel bracelet as it feels annoying when I get sweaty. 😂

can consider uncle seiko waffle straps. those quite sweat proof as the under layer has some unique design to release heat
