QUOTE(incredibless @ Jan 4 2020, 12:38 PM) Means is already EURO 4 for RON95? I thought all these while their oil is imported from SG with EURO 3 kind of rate but never knew they already euro 4 95 which is good since I been pumping 90% (unless long distance no choice). euro 3? SG itself has been using euro 6 since 2017 already to improve their air quality

QUOTE(JoeK @ Jan 3 2020, 12:53 PM) In what way is Petron and Petronas fuel is bad? Not really sure. A lot of my mechanics say to stay away from these two brands. Dirty oil or something. Lots of carbon like that. Engine easy go kaput and need full overhaul a lot faster that others that use different brands.

Thanks all. Shell and Caltex have fully rolled out Euro 4M RON 95. So. Will try them first. Just hope that BHp will roll out ASAP too, The best fuel that I have been using 99 % of the time since around 2008.

QUOTE(MR_alien @ Jan 5 2020, 09:58 AM) hahaha....BHP has been using euro4m since a lot of years ago Not exactly. Their base fuel stock are sourced from Singapore refinery and the sulphur content varies from batches to batches. Usually, their base fuel falls within Euro 3 standard but there are occasions that some batches will also fall within Euro 4 and Euro 5 standard also. Would there any cross sourcing arrangement between brands? I know there is Petron, Shell and Petronas depot in Perai. Based on BHP website, http://www.bhpetrol.com.my/terminals-distribution/overviewonly mentioned Klang depot.

Could it be they are taking in the RON97 fuel since this fuel are already Euro4M since 2018 i suppose.

QUOTE(TitaniumZ @ Jan 3 2020, 07:49 AM) You have been fueling EURO2M pretrol for soooooo long, what's the problem to pump a little more? The petrol station will have to finish their old EURO2M stock before the new EURO4M stock come in. If you really care for the emmision so much than just pump the RON97 which has been EURO4M standard for years (but seriously, if you really care about the emmision than I'll assume for the past years you should've been using RON97 already). I second that. It will take quite some time to cause an effect..if any. If. I've been feeding various gasoline for my vehicles and none breakdown so far because of so called high sulphur. Why bother?

QUOTE(incredibless @ Jan 4 2020, 01:15 AM) i been pumping BHP RON95 but last week i tried Petronas Euro 4 Ron 95 seems the FC quite bad vs BHP all these while I am using. Just wondering if is already using euro 4 but why BHP don't announce once again? Since everybody mentioned it. At least can refresh people that BHP already complies with Euro 4. the Euro4M vs Euro2 is differ on the sulfur content etc, not involve with Detergent, additive package etc. for sure it did not effect on the FC.

E4M mentioned sulfur reduction which is friendlier to our catcon. No mentioned of any addictive changes. There are no experiment on E2m vs E4m on performance. Likely there won't be any, unless some1 stocked up on E2M and run a dyno against E4M.

Probably because LTAT is talking about selling off BHPetrol. I think the deal is being trashed out and my gut feel is either Petronas or Petron buying. Kinda sad as BHPetrol is one of the best petrol out there. Now gotta find replacement. Not sure if Petronas or Petron fuel works better for my car, just gotta experiment to find out.
