Okay,i know this is a noob question but how do i reduce my picture sizes say from 3Mb to less than 1 Mb as some sites cant accept pictures more than 1 Mb..Cause i set my camera to 7 mp so the files are quite big.

Very simple to use. And make sure you set the quality to 90-100% to ensure the quality is not loss. The default is 80, which has siginificant loss in quality.

Quality can be set at the >>More option.

It's a small (+-0.8MB), fast and very effective software. It can run on the spot without any installation. You can drag 'n' drop the files into it easily.
I keep a copy in my USB drive all the time, and burn it together with photos into CDs to be given to friends.

And remember to set JPEG quality to 100%, unlessyou want to keep the file size small and don't mind the artefacts generated.

u can use the default program in windows, "paint" save in jpg for smaller size

resize it with photoshop

i normally resize mine pictures to 640 x 480

The disadvantage of Paint is that you can't resize many photos together in a batch. Have to do it one by one. And you can't control the jpeg quality... which means you'll lose quality (and introduce artefacts) everytime you save the file.

Not really recommended, unless as a last resort.

i used to use this, Very convenient. But now it wont work on vista.

i agree with u.. but TS din mention about the quality..
for quality purpose.. i highly recommend photoshop! u can resize the dimension, file size and even change the format of the file..

... yeah...normally using photoshop to resize images.... plus tweak it...
