 Your thoughts on EkoCheras Mall, Will they be successful?

Eko cheras has been open quite some time but a lot of empty tenants still around. What happen? Worry that they will be like Viva Shopping Mall

No, i have been there for 2 times but nothing seems to be excited about.. there are a lot of empty tenants there.. they got MRT there but they still got less visitors despite the GSC opening..

Online shopping is killing physical shops. In years to come, I think shopping malls will have to close down if cannot sustain it.

Have you even check out during weekends?

1 thing for sure. It won't be 2nd like viva home.

Village Grocer + eatery on weekends = quite a crowd.

Got Brew House/Powerplant too.

Absorbing frequent shoppers from Leisure Mall.

Of course if you want to shop for clothes or buy other stuff, this is not the right mall.

Grocery, food, cafes, beer = It's alright for this mall.

Leaking issues

Industrial design kononnya tasteful n minimalist but end up looking weird and just offputting

But wont be like Viva leh. That one bekam gedung perabot already lulz. This one has the stuffs that attract the crowd like wellknown FnB brands and anchor grocery stores

how shopping mall like that can sustain for a long time if some of the tenant are not filled? It will be a loss for them. after 6 months my last visit, but nothing that can attract people.. Also there are no big F&B out there. A&W is the only hope? management have to do something to fill out the empty tenants..

also the mens toilets also fucking crazy.. beside h&m one.. there are open space over your heads.. if someone put hidden camera up there.. will be dead shit.. idk about womens toilet tho..

New mall but cannot fight leisure mall. Worked as manager at 2 of the clothing brands there. Sale really bad, like embarrassing bad.

Bad design, half ass construction, bad mobile network coverage, not many famous tenants.

Poor building design. The lift to parking not connected to all levels for the benefit of parents with strollers or those on wheelchair. Bad parking design due to bottleneck as cars need to go through every level before reaching other levels.

When you were manager, do you point this problem to your upper management?

Because i know if less visitors/buyers, means less sales..

i also can say that they got peak on weekend but maybe they just come to eat and eye shopping.. how can other industry survive?

I can say no big group can beat how Sunway Group manage to build mall, college, medical, hotel, office as they do in Velocity.

And now they start building residence called Velocity 2..

Another reason is also due to greedy developers wanna build more malls For a small population like us

went there 2 times,

first, then to go there and took MUET exam.
second, hotwheel hunt, there got many good card for hotwheels collector like mine.

Overall, the place is good, like TS said, most of them empty. ok la for people like me, less people less interaction. ate there twice. ok la for price and location.

Plus point, it's close to my grandma house in Jalan Api-Api, kepong

the mgmt of the mall is terrible, they really need to step up. Otherwise the FnBs there are doing well I guess..

F&B doing well there but clothing are not.

Got A&W which is a plus.

Parking abit susah especially the upper floor parking.

The place are quite huge. Good for children and stroller coz got ample of space.

Good alternative of leisure mall.
