So i went to see doc this morning, and i was told i have a slight ear infection on my left ear, swollen in the middle ear, so the doc say its very mild and gave me 2 types of medicine, one for the swelling, and one is antiobitics. I know there's this thing about antibiotics where u must finish once u start, but after I taken my 1st time of 2 tablets antibiotics, i felt nausea and uneasy after maybe 20-30 minutes into it, so i told my mum and she told me to stop taking antibiotics as it does caused nausea, and continue taking the meds for swollen one and also to just put ear drops for infection ( which the clinic gave ).

I called up the clinic to ask about this as well and they said yes u can use the ear drops for the infection, but antibiotics still must finish, but in my case maybe im not used to antibiotics ( never really had the need to take it ) i will feel nausea and stomach upset, i don't think i can continue to take antibiotics at the cost of this, would love some advice here.

If you are feeling really uncomfortable with it...2 options: dr might need to
1. change to an alternate antibiotic or
2. take the same antibiotics but take with an antisickness (anti nausea) medication.
When you called the clinic, did you speak to the dr or the nurse? Better to speak to the dr directly or to go back to the clinic.

It's the nurse, not the doctor. Couldn't speak to the doc. But anyway,I stopped the antibiotics and i only took 1 time of the swelling medicine, ear drops i'm still continuing to put. My ear seems ok now, better. Anyway ear does self clean and also like flu, the immune system does heal it.
