You would need a digital coaxial cable which looks like rca - rca cable. Rca cable will actually able to output the digital transmission from your sound card to your ada885. It sounds so much different from the analog connection you using.

But trust me, it's worth it to spend money on those digital coaxial specification cable, as i 'stole' some cables from my bro and tested it and proved that the digital coaxial sounds so much better than the normal rca cable. I am using the ADA880, the little brother of ADA885.

I ordered some custom cable from a forummer, kings_audio. Can't wait to get the cables. Try pm him on the cable pricing.

doh.gif you guys are seriously funny.

Digital output via toslink (optical) or coaxial cable is superior only when your source (your soundcard) is inferior to the DAC inside the speakers itself. I can't find any info regarding the ADA885's built-in decoder, but I do highly doubt it will be any better than mid-range soundcards.

"Rca cable will actually able to output the digital transmission from your sound card to your ada885."
If your soundcard does not have an SPDIF output, how are you going to send digital signal to your speakers? Moreover there is no such thing as RCA cable; RCA is just a type of connector. There are digital and analogue cable, and coaxial cable has RCA termination, that's all.

But trust me, it's worth it to spend money on those digital coaxial specification cable
Not correct. It only applies if the decoder inside your speakers is superior to your soundcard.
