ic.. not to worry much. sometimes some infection will cause you to have high reading on those.

SGOT/AST : 48 U/L (5-34)
SGPT/ALT : 94 U/L ( 0-55)

these 2 are liver enzymes - liver problem indicators. Usually will raise red flag when the level > 2x or 3x of upper limit.
most probably Dr will order you to do another test some time after the consultation to get more accurate diagnosis.

For Triglyceride (TG) issue, usually will advise you for diet control if other readings a.k.a cholesterol level was ok.
Take note on your LDL and HDL level -> high HDL = better (help you expel LDL) than high LDL (increase risk for heart/blood vessel issues).

cheers..

For my case, I am having elevated liver enzymes reading for many years now.
Fluctuates up and down for each of my medical checkup. One time the readings went up to few hundreds U/L.
Went to see a specialist and undergone scope checkings but unable to detect any anomalies.
Ultrasound scan said liver looks good.

Currently trying to be mindful of any alchohol intakes. And continue to monitor my liver results via annual medical checkup.

Hope you have better luck with your doctor.

And for triglycerides - you have to read it together with your HDL and LDL and past results.
Many factors can influence TG including if you are losing body fat.

Something is stressing your liver that's all. Could lead to fatty liver but unless you are overweight don't worry. Careful they don't send you for expensive tests straight away. Think about your current lifestyle and then see.

Go back for tests in one month after you clean up your lifestyle. Cut back alcohol, sugary drinks and monitor your use of medications like Panadol and antibiotics. All these things stress your liver

Are you consuming something you think is healthy and maybe actually not? For example , sugar free diet drinks? Taking artificial sweeteners in coffee?

When I did this my numbers went back to the normal range.

Don't worry too much.

I am not a doctor but I know that elevated liver enzymes are a sign that your liver is being damaged by something you are likely consuming.

Since you don't consume alcohol you can eliminate that. Maybe the antibiotics as they are rough on the liver. What else are you eating or drinking each day that might have processed chemicals in? Eliminate them or reduce them.

Get some milk thistle and take it each day.

muscle injury could cause the high reading... did you go for workout / gym lately?

my result was way high i think but i assume because i started 1 to 1 personal training which my muscle torn heavily and aching every time... all my yearly check was perfect except this year... so i could only relate it to gym...
