i looking to buy a road bike, but i found that almost all the bike are out of stock, giant bmc trek very limited model and size to choose, merida specialized totally no stock at all.

also, i found that the price had increased significantly, about 15-25%.

i m not really keen on polygon and china brand, so i start look for used bike.

then i noticed some strange thing in fb used bike group, carosell and bicyclebuynsell.

there are quite a number of branded bike like bianchi, specialized selling quite cheap, 105 groupset selling at 4-5k, seller said that condition very good 95% like new hardly used n lots of reason.

then i ask where u bought it, most of them said bought from friend or sell on behalf of someone don’t know where the bike came from.

i ask for receipt or proof of purchase, and out of almost 20 sellers, not a single one can provide the receipt.

is that normal? cyclist in malaysia don’t keep the receipt at all?

or is that something fissy there?
