QUOTE(tydell @ Mar 13 2020, 09:27 AM) Need some guidance from pros/old timer here. Bought myself a decathlon road bike triban rc520. Decent hardware 105 groupset. Has been clocking about 300 km so far at GCE. When climbing i see other riders can ride way faster and make me a little butthurt. But thinking maybe they have been riding longer than i am. But when descending without pedaling they also go way faster. I had to pedal just to keep up. Is there something i miss? Maybe Many variables... tyres, wheelsets, bike more aero, rider heavier, rider body more aero, higher wheel pressure... This post has been edited by aquilaTE: Mar 13 2020, 02:33 PM

QUOTE(tydell @ Mar 13 2020, 02:23 PM) Tyres is stock. I think 28mm. I weigh about 70kg. I don’t know the pressure as i dont have pump with a gauge. So i pump based on feel only (pinching tyre by hand) My guess for you is weight and probably pressure.

QUOTE(Justin.Loong @ Jun 11 2020, 06:23 PM) Wah! Nice! The first version Merida Scultura Bahrain replicas. Much nicer than the second version which had the black background. Actually... I like this trim whether in blue or black as it's primary colours...

QUOTE(Justin.Loong @ Jun 12 2020, 09:00 AM) Nice right? The new livery with McLaren is also eyecatching. Too bad this year's Merida didn't come out with the McLaren-Bahrain livery for the masses... oh well...

QUOTE(Justin.Loong @ Jul 15 2020, 12:26 PM) You roll like this more compact. Before roll, put talcum powder (curi from your baby daughter's stock ) on the whole tube so it doesn't stick together when you need to use it later. But if you buy Tubolito tubes, saves weight and very compact. Saves wallet weight too

QUOTE(blissandecstasy @ Jul 28 2020, 08:57 PM) Gang, I’m new to RB looking for one. Saw this one Merida Scultura 100 n 300 that suit with my budget for now. If I’m around 173cm tall. Size S or 50cm can fit me? But my friend said I need size M/L or 52 at least. But from the seller description pulak said Merida size S can fit people like me. Is the size different between brand? Anyone? Since the seller up north, so I can’t test drive. With that height... most definitely an ass, I mean S. Do check your in-seam measurement too... I'm at 177cm and using S(50) as well.

QUOTE(andrewhtf @ Aug 10 2020, 11:02 AM) After some re-adjustment, finally settled for a height which i guess is roughly just 5mm lower than previous height before all those 0.883 or 109% methods. LPPL. pi mai pi mai tang tu. because of the much lower height before, i find that my long ass saddle bag is grinding the tyre liao. have to take off and dump out my air pressure gague, the mini tripod and cable locks, only carry a spare tyre, hex key, and tyre levers in a mini saddle bag. but the shitty thing is this small saddle bag is not blinker friendly, mount the blinker and it points down to the tyre. kanasai then an idea came to me, why use saddle bag when i could just chuck everything into a drinking bottle, place it on the bottle cage, and leave the blinker nicely on seatpost? just that if i have to ride longer, i cannot bring 2 water bottles lah. Wow... sounds like you're packed to go touring...

QUOTE(andrewhtf @ Aug 10 2020, 11:44 AM) eh sorry, spare tube!!! hahahaha not fully packed lah, i cycle alone, so the most basic of stuffs should be carried along since i dont have someone else to share barang no not yet do fitting, still on my own trial and error finding a comfy height. mau simpan bajet leh, do one time bike fit rm2-3hundred Can ditch the air pressure gague and cable locks to save some space and weight... I take it the mini tripod is also those monopod cum selfie stick type? And oh... join a group so you needn't to worry abt bike security and that photo moments too

QUOTE(Justin.Loong @ Aug 10 2020, 12:42 PM) Or... you could use a top tube bag to store your tools? At least then you can still maintain 2 water bidons. Just seen his setup... he has a top tube bag... however, he's saddle bag needs to be more of the horizontal type instead of those droopy type like topeak hydro...
