QUOTE(benbeaninc @ Aug 11 2023, 02:47 PM) how long have u been riding? My first saddle was a Fizik Aliante, got used to the saddle, pain mostly on the bulbospongiosus muscle for the first ride. Just started picking up the sport few weeks ago, post covid ride without padded lycra pants, been riding for almost 7 years on and off actually.if ur butt is used to the saddle, it should last u for a long time. and defined long distance? 100km? 160km? more than 200km? My 2nd saddle was Speciallized Body Geometri (Power Comp), ride from Klang to Port Dickson, the pain is on the seat bone, muscle sore. The last 7years duration, my longest distance was 160km century ride. Join few event Shah Alam Enduride (140km), Melaka Century ride (150km), Rembau Century Ride (160km), Perak Century Ride (167km), Rapha Women 100, Shimano Lekas (75km). Should i try the narrow saddle like the Fizik Arione shapes |

Should i try the narrow saddle like the Fizik Arione shapes from what I recently learnt, the position ur ride matters as well on how your saddle should be shape. maybe u would like to try the brand fabric, i kinda love them alot. and it is cheap also. in terms of "people's opinion", there is no right person to ask other than yourself or consult an actual bike fitter. side note, just in case u duno. usually for long rides, we should off saddle or saddle shift once a while to ease/balance the pressure on a single point. |

Will try search for Fabric brand, saddle shift techniq is quite true, but the Power Comp saddle with short nose limits the saddle shift.from what I recently learnt, the position ur ride matters as well on how your saddle should be shape. maybe u would like to try the brand fabric, i kinda love them alot. and it is cheap also. in terms of "people's opinion", there is no right person to ask other than yourself or consult an actual bike fitter. side note, just in case u duno. usually for long rides, we should off saddle or saddle shift once a while to ease/balance the pressure on a single point. benbeaninc liked this post

QUOTE(benbeaninc @ Aug 11 2023, 03:34 PM) Will this cause chafing because of the textured surface? I like smooth surface which can slide to different position. When racing we hardly sit on the saddle just merely resting on it. 3D printed saddle ![]() https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/meZynd35nehxmtMLkf6nsd.jpg This post has been edited by keyibukeyi: Aug 11 2023, 03:45 PM |

Hi guys, I’m currently looking at Trek SL6 Pro 105 di2 (carbon wheelset) and Tarmac sl7 comp 18k alloy wheelset (di2 or Sram)
Can’t really decide which to go for.. anyone here rode before these 2 bikes? Sram looks neat without the cables, but the shifters hood size is quite big for my hands. 105 di2 hoods are nice to hold. |
