Yeah, but there are so many cyclists who are doing 30 - 40km using using 52/36 with 11 speed Ultegra / Dura-Ace shifters with ceramic bearings and oversized pulleys. sweat.gif notworthy.gif

I usually overhear them comparing specs when meeting at Bahulu Classiq / Nam Wah or at Malay kopitiam nearby. drool.gif brows.gif

Safe to use? Read on fb some rds snapped due to cheap oversize pulleys

I think if choose established brands like Ceramic Speed, then it should be OK provided that the LBS technician also properly install it.

yes very strong grip. but not as grippy as Elite Custom Race i used last time.
also it has full length base unlike some weightweenie bottle cages. that way my bottle wont kena my frame.
bought it years ago when the price was almost half the price now.
*
Also, the Mandible grips all bottles regardless of size. thumbsup.gif
Some bidon cages can't grip certain waterbottles (such as Camelbak Podium) very well. sweat.gif

Hi Folks. New to the cycling scene in Malaysia. Started with a foldie and now looking at a road bike.

Does anyone have a good carrying solution for a 2-3 bike carrier for Perodua Aruz?

If you know of a shop that might have a solution, it's good too. Thanks!

Can put inside car? hmm.gif

Wow! Good info. Thanks for schooling this noob on the subject.

So it's pretty clear for me. Foldies or roof rails!

Also...if anyone has good tips on getting your better half addicted to this drug, tips welcomed!

it is not easy, and also quite troublesome.. tongue.gif  especially if your other half is puteri lilin..

best maybe just get indoor trainer, let her ride indoor according to her sweet time..

unless, she also got the heart to improve together.. then it will be very fun to both of u.. can draft each other and get maximum improvement of the time spent..
else u will end up in this situation after sometime.. u kena slow down for her everytime u bring her out.. cannot join fast peloton.. brows.gif
*
+1 on ahpingko comments in bolded. nod.gif

Regarding the slowing down to wait for her and can't join fast peleton, this depends on what is the intention of cycling.
If cycle just as an activity to get healthy, cycle cum makan rides, as an alternative to window shopping, I think most girls would be OK.
But If want her to join fast peleton, I think no la... especially since if the girl is not an outdoor type person (puteri lilin type) or not sporting type.

Hi guys,

want to ask anyone here using aero bike vs climbing bike? whats the different beside being more aero when riding?
*
Gearing (groupset) is different. Climbing gearing is something like 50/34T and cassette 11/34T or 32T or 30T.
However, I have seen at Perez a Bianchi XR3 / 4 (or could be?) that had swapped his gearing for climbing. excl.gif

What do you mean swap gearing
*
Buy new chainring and cassette and swap with the one which came with the bike la.
For example; buy new 50/34T & 11/32T swap with original 52/36T & 11/28T.

today was a bad day for me ...
+ Di2 no battery, only can change 8-9 gears only
+ climbing day (lookoutpoint x2, peres x2, the hill at my home)
+ rain

nasib disc brake
*
Serious questions:
1. Your head unit / cycling computer doesn't have Di2 screen?
user posted image
2. IINM, before your Di2 battery went flat, usually your FD will not shift. Yours didn't?
3. When was the last time you charge your Di2?

This is like owning a Kancil, then install turbo, upgrade to 17" rims and whatnots. It reaches a point where happiness is confused with being delusional.

Every weekend bring the Kancil into Sepang and race with the big boys. If he wins, he brags about it in social media like some big shot influencer. If he loses to a Type-R, he consoles himself by saying, "still not bad performance, I only lost by 1 car length."

Insanity is defined by those who keep repeating the same BS, keep wishing for a better outcome.

Blardy joker la, this kopi-apek fler.

But yes, this is a free society, he can do what he wants, and I can say what I want. Cheers and have a happy weekend.
