I didn't say it was the best... ok... what I shud have said one of the MORE recommended one... I've not experienced other local wheelset builder including that infamous one...

Still, better than custom wheel building the ones from China directly... a bit of gamble there...

Sorry, my fault for not reading what you wrote properly but also I just wanted to highlight that economically, it is perhaps the way to go but not without faults.

Like Zipp, there were issues too and price is at a premium.

That said, I have not really encountered many custom wheels from China here, there are however many uncommon brands which I have heard to be pretty reliable such as:

- Farsports
- RHC
- Veloforce
- Astuto(no longer with Megabike)

How was Daniel’s fitting? Very conservative right
*
yea not the using mechanical bull type but he solved a lot of my issues, just that the saddle portion after multiple adjustment, it improved but still doesn't kill the numbness. earlier cycling will have numbness for hours after off-saddle, his adjustment solved that but still having numbness on saddle once hitting 25km-ish. then becomes will need to take break every 25km-ish.

If you aren’t sure about certain things, go back to him, I think he’s only doing fitting and coaching right now so he should be pretty free

I honestly do not fancy custom built wheels as I have heard of many tales of spokes breaking but it can happen to any wheelsets, even ENVE so I am just not comfortable myself.

Yes, spokes and hubs, some people think it is more economical that way but in actuality, I think a ready made wheel from a factory in Taiwan, eg, Cyclelogy Bangsar(formerly known as Specialized Bangsar) cost about the same but without the novelty of calling it a custom built wheelset.

Currently using default saddle, Giant Contact. Bike fitter suggested to go with Specialized Power Saddle. Thus I'm a little worry if after buying Specialized Power Saddle and still having numbness.

saddles are pretty much guess work if you dont have access to a generous fitter

so no choice gotta invest and splurge abit.

good news is, you should already have your sitting bone width from your earlier fitter so that would narrow down your choice abit

plus, with shopee and the wonders of copycat PRC, you get to buy a few different saddles that imitated the shapes (down to a T) for a try, eventually once you found a shape to your liking nobody is stopping you from selling those imitation saddles to buy an original saddle of your choice.

this is the first aftermarket saddle i bought for RB, and it's a acopy of that specialised saddle. though i have in mind of trying a few more other saddles but since so far i have no complaints with this one, i'll stick with this for a longer time.

the idea of going custom build is so that replacement parts are easily sourced and cheaper
and u can reuse some parts on next builds

Just read that Daniel recommended the Power, I love it, but there are two types, normal Power and Power Arc, Bangsar Cyclelogy has got plenty of Power saddles I think, can call them up and ask if there are test saddles. PJ too.

I did not consider the replacement parts part but maybe because for many wheels in the market these days, even Racing Zero’s bladed spoke it is readily available.

Same can’t be said about Roval and Lightweight.
