Currently looking for a pair of suitable carbon wheels
seems like got quite a wide range....

trying to do some research now... mind sharing the difference?
say price points around 5k? Consider mid range i suppose?

Reynolds is about tat price points?
Roval decent? but seems many people don't think it has good value over money paid
RHC- local brand?
*
u can consider veloforce with that price point.
reynolds - famous for bad braking surface unless u get the slx ver

the rest i cant comment

i only tried zipp, veloforce, megabike custom build

Is tubeless the new thing to go?
anyone here using?

Some say good- some say bad.
*
if u know how replace tubeless/ like to replace tubeless tyre, then i think its a good upgrade to have ...
else u will end up in and out of bike shop, and wasting sealant,

Plus the maintenance will be rescrubbing the dry sealant off which will take some time (about 1 hour for me per tyre), once a year...
refilling the sealant every 3-6 months depending on how much you put in and how much pancut out.

IF you are good with what I mentioned above, you are gona love the performance of a tubeless....

I am running tubeless on both my bikes.

Dangerous weekend at langat...
On the way down last 2km ish, got nails...

2 ppl kena on sat (1 so happen my fren, end up in hospital with bone fracture, the other caught my attention cos they took ages to change a gp5000, helped them in less than 2mins and continue my road)

2 ppl in my group kena on sun (nasib nobody got injured)

Riding pères for 3 days seems dull... But still suffer like a noob

Kena nails pancit and crashed till bone facture?  blink.gif  shocking.gif  doh.gif

And on Sunday the 2 riders kena also at the same spot?  hmm.gif

peres downhill, if you unknowningly hit a nail (to be more precise - thumb tacks) and the nail stick to your tyre, then u swerve a corner at a high speed, confirm will skid and say hello to the ground..
Sat both riders are just 100-150m apart
Sun we noticed if after the peres downhill

the nail location is just 1km ish from the t-junction

perez dont play downhill can hit 75kmh. everytime i see my odo hit 40kmh, and above, is slowdown. its not coz i cant go fast but the risk is terpelanting and fly to the other side of the road - where lucky only rider basikal. sometime alot of crazy rider superbike may hit u.

i got one friend slip on perez during rain on his foldie. muka pecah - helmet and sunnies save, but chin scraped the road. until today (after 3 years) his scars are a reminder.

i only dare to sprint on flat/fast on flat. dont dare go fast on sempah/peres - now alot of bike haters especially alot of those celebrity with thier support cars - make the locals piss off - and i am not suprise they too will resort to this. no difference than those tuang minyak on the road
*
parts and parcel of training to downhill + cornering...
when i first riding my top speed less than 30km/hr
now after few years 40+km/hr provided road condition is good (sometimes near 50km/hr). I m not that heavy, and gravity is friendly

Haha, I did ask sini, but mostly kena advise get the smaller one sbb can adjust with stem and seat post, the specialized store pun comment the same. I don't really regret it, kinda like my cheap bike.
I ride short ride, my ~500ml elite and abloc bottle csn fit well.

You guys no comment on tubeless ka? Sounds magical Imho, but why ppl x pakai? No puncture, auto seal. So nice.
*
Using tubeless on both my bikes. If u have no skill in changing tyres, dun bother. It will b a hell and possible gv up cycling if it reaches ur boiling point...
Puncture on side wall = getting new pairs of tyre... $$$
Cleaning (3-6 months once) going to be 1hr per tyre... Cos need to scrub off the sealen...

If u r good with above... Tubeless is the best thing ever

About bike size... Yes 1 size below ur size

I seen this in action once ... still can fail ... the problem with tubeless is depending on the size n location of the puncture...

First honest actual user comment. Kena fikir twice xd, haha!

Sidewall xde puncture repair kit aa, kena tukar terus? Skill ada la, motorcycle tyre, tp those rims besar and keras...bicycle rim kang bengkok (kalau kabon dah crach).

Thank you for another confirmation on bike sizing, makes my heart lega bit more.
*
unfortunately, if the sidewall lubang is big enuf, better to change new tires... or convert back to tube (Mahal tyre tubeless tu)
same thing applies to any big holes in the middle (duno wat is it called, saja tau sidewall)

my fren sad case also, Day1 use gp5000 TL, that night puncture sidewall.... cannot reuse, emo he change back to tube

i have standard tube tyre changing skill also can cry doing tubeless...

u send pic like this without us showing us how u position when u r on ur bike is abit pointless actually.

ur body pain can due to many reasons
1) bike size too big
2) stem too long/short
3) handlebar too wide/narrow
4) saddle too high/low or front/back
5) ur reach is too far
6) YOU ARE NOT CYCLING ENOUGH !!!

can still remember my first time i ride above 40km already crying... the same saddle after 1 year can rider 600km

Tahu boss, tp badan x sakit lagi most prolly due to factor no 6. Im not complaining (yettt) so until then will ask more.

So nubis kubis, x sakit bantai dulu, then from there baru ask again. Nanti we revisit this question in 3 months time.

But i know (2) (3) and (4) is valid, but no effect, so maybe it works.

BTW, im a loner cyclist, so no peer pressure or peer comments from 1000 years of combined cycling experience to say otherwise. Eh pasal ko x beli kabon, eh, change wheelset ENVE laaa, eh, pakai ceramic bro, ei, your bike no value, buy better s-works, ada kelass, eh pakai kask helmet la...you guys know la
*
haha ur final statement made me reflect on my self and my bike ... (FU), buat i EMO sikit cos i have almost all yang stated.

ya bro, just ride more, wat pain also will be numb
