Hello.. Newbie here..looking for new endurance rb budget rm4k - 5k..currently using folding bike but kena racun already..

So now stuck with few models as below:

1. Merida scultura 4000 - rm4.9k*
2. EMC r1.7 - rm4.9k*
3. Gusto rcr duro - rm5.2k*

i vote merida coz established brand, available local support, widely recognized, big company so i assume very capable manufacturing processes, etc

eh by the way guys, i want to know, whenever you are out riding and stop for breaks or makan/minum/verakincin, i understand you guys will lean your bikes on just any wall/trees you can find.

how about open spaces like field, or empty land with just stones/gravel/sand or roadside with just a longkang, wont your heart feel pain letting your bike lie down on the ground just like that? what do you use to prop it up or stand it? or what do you put as the buffer between your bike and ground?

i had intention to pasang a kickstand for convenient sake but my friend all screaming at me lol.

now i am thinking of those flippable crank stand


or a stick like this

never have i destroyed tyres as quick as the contis.
my gatorskin koyak after 100km
brand new gp4k sidewall koyak on its first ride, the first 10km
its price was the most expensive back then
u can google about contis infamous sidewall

maybe its just me. i have no luck with conti. i have no problem with vittoria.
meanwhile my friend had terrible experience with vittoria, but gooding with conti.

Yeah. never happened to me, but I've seen it happen to others on a few rides before. but Continental fixed the problem with the GP4000S2 and after.

in fact i am thinking that alloy cages held my bottles more steadier than those plastics ones.
takut bottle jump out and get stuck between chainstay and tyre

anyway, why carry the load on your body when your bike can do it for you?

(this lesson i learnt from motorcycling. i used to think boxes are ugly so i rode with a backpack especially when go long distances. carry raincoat especially. after i encounter that sentence, i opened up my heart and tried a top box on my kapchai. after experiencing the convenience and also less body fatigue, even on my big bike oso i install a big-ass box.)
