QUOTE(leftycall9 @ Dec 26 2019, 02:15 AM) I only remember Jon Favreau from Chef, decent movie but I won't rewatch. surprisingly he didn't pull the same stupid antics of all Marvel movies in this tv series. Except wanna bet how Disney gonna milk baby yoda merchandising? Feels like they could have just ended season 1 with yoda delivered safely and next mando adventure journey. But no, let mando be daddy for entirety of the show. Nothing wrong if done correctly, but Disney prob gonna drag the baby thing till sht hits the fan.Aloof main character, cute baby, strong female support (glad that Cara is actually strong woman not just some skinny b*tch pretending to be strong and useful),space adventure and fight the bad dudes in 30 minutes episode. Rare formula these days. events happening conveniently? well it's an easy stuff to digest no dragging crap so I'm ok with it. those who are born with 4 braincells like me will find it fun and entertaining as opposed to unnecessarily frustrated for not getting the point of technical shit in show like Mr.Robot. I expected bs drama when I first saw the title, paired it with Disney yeah another wtf Star Wars milking franchise?? but the Mandalorian and the baby pulled me in and changed my mind, can't escape anymore. ^^ |

QUOTE(ironite @ Dec 30 2019, 12:57 PM) You can't ask a baby to do anything lol. See Greef ask him to do the "magic hands" and baby Yoda just waved Set aside what u just reason despite far fetched..... Mando who got blasted from behind almost near death, reveal face to IG and miraculously got fully healed with spray can? That is cheap emotion there. The blacksmith was there since ep1 (not arguing that) but didn't mando visit her workshop multiple times before that? U knw for the armor upgrade. Maybe she got another identical workshop coincidentally for whatever reason in the sewer and along the escape path and just so happens to cover the emblem plot hole? The opening scene in ep8 is funny... But..... At the end of episode 7, didn't the rancher just died? Kinda disjointed there. So far I only mentioned episode 8 but the rest of episodes also plagued with similar unbelievable that make me cringe more than once. Like episode 4, why didnt the bipedal machine noticed the bog right in front? It's not even concealed or anything. Mando just assume enemies are too dumb to notice a giant bog......wtf?Plus he used his energy edi to fight the fire. Reveal face is allowed in Mando religion to non living things. Since IG saw his face, must die lor. but agreed on manufactured tension. IG should be powerful enough to fight those stormtroopers. The blacksmith was already there since ep 1 kan? Again, the series in entirety is fine as part of star wars lore despite the flaws. Just like conveniently placed giant vent placed above the main core of Death star. But to call it the best is a..... QUOTE(andrewhtf @ Dec 30 2019, 01:27 PM) based on your reply i searched yoda's age. this is an info i found on google : Well that makes even less sense since all tech looks exactly the same after 800 years lol. Unless different yoda. How old is Yoda in human years? This out-of-universe statement indicates that Yoda had reached literally 900 years old when he died (he didn't exaggerate when he told Luke that "when 900 years old you reach, look as good you will not"). Since Leland Chee is responsible for Star Wars canon (even post-Disney), this is canon information. So when Luke meets Yoda in Ep 5, yoda is already 900yrs old. in Mandalorian 1st episode, it was said that baby yoda is only 50 years old. so event in Mandalorian is about 800yrs prior to Ep 1. But likely points to same yoda since if we know Disney, they love to pull back old stuff for nostalgia. I predict we be seeing origin of millennium falcon. QUOTE(andrewhtf @ Dec 30 2019, 01:32 PM) nah, just read something new, that baby is just same species as yoda, not yoda itself. Kinda confusing but Disney is well known to fck things up just for merchandising opportunity and sjw. https://time.com/5717734/mandalorian-star-wars-timeline/ Forgot which ep, but they talked as if they never heard of jedi order so make me suspect the whole thing started before star War prequel. |

QUOTE(andrewhtf @ Dec 30 2019, 01:49 PM) jedi order eliminated after ep 3. More than 30 years already wwii is not myth. Still too far fetched. Also mando is (supposedly) set up 5 years after ep 6, so unlikely they don't know or too dumb."execute order 66" https://i.ytimg.com/vi/sNjWpZmxDgg/hqdefault.jpg Episode 4 is set 20 years after episode 3. it is 5 years between 4 to 6, and then add another 5 years where the Madalorian takes place. so making it a total of 20+ 5 + 5 = 30years. the new bunch of stormtroopers might not be born or aware of jedi order i guess? |

QUOTE(ironite @ Dec 30 2019, 03:14 PM) Haha, ya. Easy to heal with bacta spray also. so no risk actually. Well for a phamous bounty hunter clan they sure have cetek knowledge of the universe and when dealing with the empire. It's the same workshop, no? he did say he dunno the way under the sewers but the town so big can get lost? hmmm. But eventually found his wayback to the blacksmith. Kuiil was killed off camera. maybe by the scout trooper's speeder bike. Ep 4 is the worst in the season. I get that Bryce Dallas Howard want to do like a Seven Samurai homage but i feel that Mando was so chatty and out of character. Ep 3 is shown he is able to quietly go in and kill enemies effectively, but now suddenly need to teach some stupiak farmers how to use spears? He cannot just go to the enemy base and destroy the AT-ST himself? Enemies also boring, some generic alien orcs. The Jedi at most during order 66 was 10,000 ppl only. In a galaxy with billions of planets, not surprised the Outer Rims don't give a damn about central's political turmoils. To them, "republic" "empire" "jedi" "sith" all nonsense je. So it made sense for Mando also go IDGAF. |

QUOTE(ironite @ Dec 30 2019, 03:36 PM) Mandalorians ni lebih kurang macam vikings. But if we stick to the show only, they already are broken tribe edi since The Old Republic 4,000 years before. We r delving too much into this. Bottom line Disney kinda fck up a little on the continuity but nothing too drastic compared to the abomination that is the last jedi and RoS.They have their own code and will do whatever they want. "The Purge" must be their elimination during the clone wars. Basically they are war refugees. so i can excuse la a bit being clueless. Cetek knowledge of the universe is an understatement. I think Disney also not sure how anything is in the Star Wars lore Also vikings are not like mando lah. Mando is suppose to be well known hunters so the cetek knowledge part makes little sense even if 4k years passed. |
