Badaxe2 motherboard is awarded as the best motherboard for Core2Duo.
High performance, high overclockability, low vdroop.

Is it true that the X38 mobo's will only support DDR3 and there's no plans for it to support DDR2?
*
Wrong.
X38 chipset still support DDR2.
As you can see, there's even DFI Lanparty X38 T2R for DDR2. smile.gif

Intel board? I thought Intel didn't recommend to OC for the past years. Or maybe I'm being totally left behind?
*
Kinda, as Intel allowed overclocking on their motherboard since the age of D975XBX [BadAxe 1] laugh.gif

I see, I guess Intel trying to attract OCer to buy their boards as OCing nowadays is consider as common stuff, no more hidden
*
Correct.
Even most mainstream users prefers other brands from intel motherboard.
That, returns into low sales on intel motherboard. smile.gif

So is this the 1st Intel board that support OCing, or there are already exist currently? If this is the 1st, maybe Intel already wanna produce OCing board, but better off start from DDR3 laugh.gif
*
No, this is the 3rd Intel motherboard that supports overclocking.
Intel motherboard that supports overclocking:
1st: Intel D975XBX
2nd: Intel D975XBX2
3rd: Intel DX38BT

I see, my bad though blush.gif I didn't quite follow Intel boards tech as I'm being taught that it suxx at OCing tongue.gif Now it has, it is great. Full features of OCing included like vcore, vdimm, timing and so on?
*
Yes, it has full features of overclocking. But need i remind you that the Badaxe2 is the greatest Core2Duo motherboard ever built?
Yea it lacks on the maximum FSB [Intel 975X chipset maximum FSB is only 400MHz], but, the performance of Badaxe2 is no match with other motherboard that uses Intel 975X chipset can beat it. laugh.gif

QUOTE(§layerXT @ Jul 15 2007, 07:12 PM)
But with no solid caps make it a little outdated.
*
Dude, this isn't the finished product la, aiyooo.
Wait until you see the real finished product, then you'll some beautiful heatsink all over PWM just like the older badaxe. smile.gif

QUOTE(§layerXT @ Jul 15 2007, 07:12 PM)
The price should be similar to previous 975P right? may be RM900++
*
Dream on skin tube. Do you remember the price of badaxe 2 when it's still new in the market?
It's way higher than the price of badaxe2 nowadays. laugh.gif

Dam nice mobo but... AFAIK DDR3 still pricy ATM, KVR 512MB DDR3 1066 @ USD102.. & 1GB DDR3 Dual Kit is USD414... Wonder when DDR3 gonna be mainstream???
*
Just the same time DDR2 takes it's time to be mainstream, 1 & half year or 2 years. laugh.gif

QUOTE
While Intel plans to launch X38 chipset next month, their own DX38BT desktop board got pushed back to Q4. However, board manufacturers like ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI, DFI should be on time to launch their X38 boards. Right now, the makers have gotten A1 revision X38 which is more stable and better performing than A0 samples.
