Quick History:
The writer sold the rights of the story to CD Projekt Red for less than $100,000 USD.
After the game become popular, he asked for more. He didn't like the games. Anyway, he asked for $16m USD because he claims he sold the rights for 1 game, didn't know they made 3 games and the 3rd game is so damn popular. Finally, in 2018/2019, the Game Developer settled out of court for an unknown amount.

Now everyone is happy and Netflix adapted the series. Awesome

Henry Cavil:
Henry Cavil is a huge fan of the game. He said he finished the game multiple times. After hearing Netflix is making the series, he read all the books (through Audiobook). Then he loved the book and ask his agent to literally call Netflix every day. Naturally, he is the first choice because he already understands all the witcher lore.

Difference between Book/Game/Series:
1. Triss is red hair in the game. But the books says chestnut colour and later on the series it says she is ginger.

2. Fringilla is supposed to look like yennifer. When Gerald sleeps with her, he often confuses her with Yennifer. And her whole heritage is white because of the family is one of the kings in the land. No idea how they are going to explain that.

wow i didn't know henry cavill was a fan of the game. I think most of us got into the series through the 2nd or 3rd game, the first game was pretty terrible but the 2nd game was badass awesome, and the rest is history.

Liked it, but it just seems like the whole season is a pilot of what to come. Sort of an introduction to all characters. Hope to see more action in the coming season

Good season. Seem okay for season 1, they can improve alot in season 2. Dont compare with GOT la. Totally diff things. And diff tv company that produce it. Diff budget also.

Witcher budget is actually more per episode. $60-70m
GoT is $50-60m

Really? feels like the witcher production quality sucked.
I was in awe of 1st episode of GOT,
while the witcher i almost give up after episode 1.
The different timeline and time gap really confusing. Had to check if i skipped an episode before continuing.

PS: I realized there is a lot of Indian cast in the series. Pretty immersion breaking for me.

just watched 6 episodes so far, i hope they will somehow show that geralt have to upgrade his armor and his sword later on, maybe on next season.

I'm glad that the series uses British accent instead of American. Feels somewhat turned off if movies/series depicting ancient and medieval fantasy period uses American accent.

Movies regarding modern times that does not happen in America also usually uses British accent, for example Enemy At The Gates. Not just because the actors are English but I guess that's the way it is.

Futuristic movies mainly uses American accent and only characters for different species usually uses different accent.

For example John Boyega speaks American instead of his native British accent since Finn/Stormtrooper in British accent sounded out of place.

There were movies/tv series that uses American though it shows ancient rime period and they turn me off everytime. Like Xena Warrior Princess etc.

Same, almost 300+ hrs. The side quest is actually nice because it explains the story, history, world, etc. Not empty fetch or kill this quest.

the running idea about the witcher is that witchers speak in american accents and everyone else in british accents. There was a question asked about that before. Guess to differentiate between witchers and common folk.

Yeah so good. I think its because its not as draggy as GoT. Lighter, funnier, better music, etc. Need to work on the CGI though

Overall show ok. I didn't play the game, the time line a bit confusing at first but I had train by Melancholy Of Suzumiya Haruhi so this consider child's play after get the gist of it.

The only thing they need to work as is the CGI on Magick then good to go
