Fully 16x 16x only in X38 shipset. 16x 4x in most P35 mobo for crossfire is useless coz of bottlenecks at 4x.

Dream on, that is something that wouldn't happen. tongue.gif

why?
DFI not planning for an infinity for P35?
who's gonna replace P965-S?
or maybe we will have to wait for a long time like the P965-S.

i think there will be some lower end mobo from dfi but likely will be late
cause heard that DFI now lack of BIOS writer can now truly concentrate on their new lanparty....

You see DFI makes DFI Infinity P965-S, did they do DFI Lanparty P965?
Nope.

You see DFI makes DFI Infinity 975X, did they do DFI Lanparty 975X?
Nope.

You see DFI makes DFI Infinity 650I, did they do DFI Lanparty 650I?
Nope

You see DFI makes DFI Lanparty 680I, do you see DFI makes Infinity 680i?
Nope

You see DFI makes DFI Lanparty CFX3200, do you see DFI makes Infintiy CFX3200?
Nope

You see DFI makes DFI Lanparty 915, do you see DFI makes infinity 915?
Nope

You see DFI makes DFI Lanparty 925X, do you see DFI makes infinity 925-X?
Nope

Once they've made a model for a chipset, they won't make a cheaper model motherboard using the same chipset vise versa.
That's the clever DFI marketing stratergy.

They will only use one chipset for one model of a motherboard.
It has been like that for ages. smile.gif

Yeah, in the past, maybe in socket 478 era and socket 939 era, they do use the same chipset for many motherboards, but not anymore.
Trust me, there won't be any DFI Infinity P35. smile.gif

It's true, i'm not talking trash, if anyone doesn't believe in what i said up there, google up in DFI website, then you'll see either i'm telling the truth or just giving craps. smile.gif

That's AMD.
I'm talking about Intel LGA775 boards.

None of the board i've mention up there is for AMD.
Do you see any board i've posted up there for AMD?

This is the Lanparty CFX3200 i'm talking about.
http://us.dfi.com.tw/Product/xx_product_sp...TYPE=MB&SITE=US

I never mention AMD.

Eitherway, if you still on your point, do you see any Lanparty CFX3200 for AMD?
And do you see any Infinity CFX3200 for Intel?

The answer is no. wink.gif

I know, but poking fun is #1 priority @ LYN. laugh.gif
Actually TBH, they would actually stand to gain more IF they had 2 versions.
Look at Sapphire's AM2 boards. 2 versions, 1 in white for rich enthusiasts and 1 in blue/black for poor ones. They could reap awesome margins on the white and get multiple buys/moar profit for the blue/black. And with BOTH boards proven to OC nicely.

Still I know DFI's profiting like f'in crazy from the new OCing trend, LanParty or Infinity.

[BTW heat output from the new Intel chipset series (to need hyper heatspreaders/heatpipes) is rather frightening.]

Yes it will, don't you see the performance of DFI Infinity P965-S? A cheap motherboard compared to other intel P965 chipset motherboard such as ASUS Commando, Gigabyte GA-P965-DQ6, but, the DFI Infinity P965-S performance outwit all other P965 chipset based motherboard.
Does that not intrigue you on the performance of DFI's Intel chipset based motherboard? brows.gif

Yes to me. smile.gif

Because nothing has been developed with the next-gen Havok FX middleware yet. tongue.gif It's as simple as that.

But for Folding@home, should help out some.

But from what I'm reading over in TW discussion, there maybe a Infinity for P35 which may have a cut down spec of:

1. Normal PWM
2. non-Bernstein Azalia audio
3. 2x PCI-e slots electrically
4. Single Gb LAN

Has happened before during the nForce 4 era and I don't see it not being done again if there's a demand for it

That might be possible coz not much ppl can buy over RM1k mobo. Cut down version should not hurt your wallet.
