i have an acer aspire laptop and its already one year old.the problem with it now is that the laptop will automatically shutdown by itself and i don't know why.

previously,i thought it was because the laptop was overheated and it cuts off the power supply for safety.so i bought myself a zalman notebook cooler, but no improvement at all.my laptop will still occasionally shut down by itself and happened frequently lately.

guys,any idea or suggestions?

my laptop specs are as below :

Intel Centrino Duo T2400 1.83GHz
ATi Mobility Radeon X1600
80GB 5400RPM
1Gb RAM DDR2 (previously was 512Mb,is the upgrade to 1GB part of the cause for the problem?)

i hope anyone here are helpful to give out some opinions and solutions.thanks a bunch.

yeah.i feel its the overheat issue too.but my fren's lappie is as hot as mine, but strangely his doesn't auto shutdown like mine.

@AceCombat : well,i can say i'm particularly new at exploring the internal part of peripherals.so mind to give some guidelines?

@nate_nightroad : bios settings? i din see any safety shutdown temp in my bios settings.

thanks for the attentions guys =)
hope to get more solutions.
