went one utama last weekend and saw menya musashi was closed due to operational issue

upon checking fb, was announced closed since 13th Nov
until now more than one month

what happened? miss their ramen

Their ramen is really good.

I used to dine there while the outlet around klcc still operating. The noodle is nice but the price is expensive.

For me they serve the best ramen in KL

Pls la that ramen is normal ramen je plenty of better option out there for the same price.

Used to be really good few years ago then recently macam not so nice. Anyway, Bari Uma still my favourite.

I remember dining at 1U Menya Musashi about 2 or 3 years ago. It was a bit too heavy and oily for me. Stomach didn't feel well afterwards.

I also found the ramen shop next to it more to my taste compared to Menya Musashi.

It used to be really good when their chefs were Japanese but quality deteriorated over years. Sometimes good sometimes bad, inconsistent

I kena the ramen got alkaline taste from noodle, the miso they dint mix it well end up at starting of my ramen soup tasteless half way salty as fuck. They dint screw up my friend ramen but the taste just meh normal ramen at best

Rumors say that got conflict among the local owner with japanese co-owner regarding payment or something. So the japanese co-owner quit and go open menya-shishi do at jaya one. Lol

The pj one also not so nice.

Nah. For me Menya is the best tsukemen. The broth super thick. Sure uncle will die of heart attack drinking the soup.

Thanks. Tried it once, although the soup is obviously well prepared, I felt the bowl of ramen itself lacked seasoning. And one thing chicken ramen cannot win over Tonkotsu ramen is.. The char siew. Just no way of getting around it. Having said the above, hope they improve. You don't often see local ramen shop.

Chciken cannot compete with pork one. Actually alot local ramen shop they brand like sound like Japanese name.

In Japan, roadside ramen shop win. I tried ichiran, for me so so only. Best is some unknown shop eat ramen with sake with Japanese colleague. Totally cannot compare.

Ya ippudo in my top 5. I tried ichiran taiwan one the noodle the best noodle i had in my life not joking but ichiran if u donno how to order very easy gg one. Option 1 i put 5 option 2 i put 5 the ramen come very salty, not salty until cannot eat but u wont feel eating the whole bowl of soup la but my friend one put 5 4 the ramen is very pleasant to eat compare to mine. Ps ichiran got one side order vineger which cost 50 twd u need to try this the taste just wow when u add vinegar to salty soup it just turn to a whole new level experience idk can be call ramen but just dam good lol. Will i go back eat maybe if q not that long did it make into my top 5 ( malaysia) no malaysia one better lol.

Alot some are jap + malaysia owner combo. I think only like 50% of ramen shop are from. Japan, rest sound like japan name but not link to japan one ( establish in japan) .

Bankara's tsukemen ain't a real tsukemen. I don't remember them making that light a broth in Japan.
