HI GUys,

i have just watched youtubes on the above car by Kon, Bobby, YS Khong and Chris Wee.

Looks pretty impressive.

I was contemplating on buying a BSegment after having driven C and D segment cars for the past 10 years.

However, i cannot find a place in my heart to buy one after having driven Persona, Yaris, Myvi, Saga and Iriz.

Does any1 have experience with the new elantra?

why i like it is because it is 2.0, 6 AT (ratio very close), rear air convent, suspension. These are all comment from youtube.

i hope to test drive it this weekend.

What i am trying to confirm is the seat comfort and gear noise.

anyone has any comments on the car?

currently i see it going as cheap as rm 90k in mudah.

have not called them yet.

thanks in advance.

Saw in Mudah... quite cheap!
But I think Vios is better in term of safety.

Lots of car reviewers uses beautified words for the cars they reviewed..
better to test your own and see whether it suits your driving style.
if you're focusing on NHV and safety, elantra is your choice as it uses high strength steel.
i've seen what high strength steel does whenever someone crashes into you / you hit something compared with toyolta/H/p2/potong.

if your driving style is sporty / high speed cornering, elantra will not satisfy you.

test drive it this weekend and drive like you are driving alone. ignore the sales guy beside you.

seems like a good car. acceptable for its price. 2.0 somemore. the downside is, still use manual aircond (not a problem for a cheap car).

The launching price of 110k is steep and is the main reason why I almost don't see it on the road. Only once I think.

But if it can be had for merely a few grand above 90k I think it's worth considering if you can look past the slanted H badge and, in my opinion fugly interior. After all it's a class above your typical City & Vios with only a few grand dearer.

Now end year sales got 15k discount for Elantra. Quite attractive actually.

Hi TS I hv test driven this car, the seat comfort is ok, good thigh support, im a tall guy so tigh support really matters for long drives. Besides tht there is hardly any gear noise. It's a decent drive kinda similar to conti car but the interior dash is not great and not a fan of the design. But overall for the current asking price i'd say it's worth to consider.

reviewers are paid to say nice things, at this point it's more like a hard sell than anything.

You must be sleepy or dreaming, no way VIOS is better in term of safety. It's just a milo tin with Toyota badge.

To be fair the vios can be had with 360degree parking camera and blind spot assist which something Elantra doesn't have. Active safety system is equally important.
