Grave robbers caught red-handed at Perak cemetery

 BERUAS: Two men were arrested for allegedly digging up an ancient grave at Kampung Batu Hampar, Pantai Remis here, on Sunday. The grave – one of several located in a fenced-up area on a hill – is believed to contain the remains of the descendant of an ancient king, who was buried with a trove of treasure, Bernama reported.
The men had dug to a depth of 0.6 metre when they were noticed by nearby villagers, who alerted the police at about 2pm. “Police promptly detained the two suspects, with the help of the public. “A hoe and a spade were also seized,’’ said Manjung district police chief, Assistant Commissioner Nor Omar Sappi.
