i always find myself using the macbook trackpad/touchpad more than attaching a mouse.
i am not sure am i the only one... but ... i would like to know ...
i have used my frined's notebook , but i will keep on finding a mouse... but for macbook.. no.

Same here. I have a wired mighty mouse but I still prefer using the track pad somehow. I feel that the mouse it rather' slugish' plus I am loving the 2 finger scroll function on the track pad.

ya/.. the 2 finger function is really the point why i am using it to browse my windows .

Not if you have a Mighty Mouse!!! But no doubt mouse is something i dont need to carry in my bag with my Macbook.

Macs' trackpad really sets the benchmark for other notebooks, they are just superb. Few occasions i had to use my friends' notebooks, they suck big time.

Today when I was trying out a HP pavilion laptop, I did the 2 finger scroll thing with the track pad. I did that for quite a while according to my friend. She was staring at me and wondering what was I doing.

Haha Sugarboi totally agreed with you. Whenever i use a non Apple laptop, i tend to use 2 fingers scroll and right click.

When I am outside, i will for sure use the trackpad. When at home, my favourite is the wireless mighty mouse!

Macbook track pad is the best i have ever seen and used.
I don't mind using it (i won't even think of using other notebook's trackpad)

As for sluggish mouse etc... my RM18 mouse and Razer both work darn well with my MB. (i use my mouse whenever possible, but if i am on mobile mode then trackpad is my fren)

i prefer the tracpad over the mouse anytime...hehehe......it's the best trackpad i've used...

on normal laptops, a mouse is a must....hehe

i have to agree... i try HP , CompaQ ... etc ... all are not user frinedly....
i mean... our trackpad is damn nice to use.
especially when viewing photo... left right up down ... just use ur finger .

I never really got the hang of using a touch pad mouse - hence on the last few laptops of mine, i'd always attached a mouse to it. BUT when I got my MBP, I was determined to learn how the trackpad works and it sure didn't take me too long to get used to it It's convenient and in comparison to the touch pad, it's really not that difficult to get used to

In the last couple of weeks, I been using Keynote quite often and realised it's easier to maneuver using a Mouse (I use the Mighty Mouse) but perhaps I haven't set all the functions of the Mouse on mine, I can't quite say it functions much better than any other mouse out there

It took me less than a week (about 2-3 days i'll say) to get used to the trackpad. It's definitely much better than the touch pads.. seriously, u should try it IF u do ever decide to get a Mac, tell yourself you will use the trackpad and soon u'll realised the convenience of using it - plus, i just lurve NOT carrying the additional external mouse around *g*

I carry a Wireless MMouse with my MBP.

While I like the two finger scroll of the Apple Trackpad; the omission of a second mouse button is irritating. They've already swallowed thier pride and made Apple mice multibutton. It's time two put two buttons below the trackpad too.

Fanboys however will continue being happy with everything Apple pushes thier way...

use rubber to clean it. always using it to clean my macbook. don wan it to become yellowbook. hehe

Why dont you use the 2 fingers tap right click?

While I do find the touch / track pad on the mac really good, I still use a mouse when ever possible simply because of the sheer hours I'm on my computer. Some of the shortcut buttons on the mighty mouse really does make my life easier. If I could afford it, I'd get a wireless keyboard and monitor to use at home as well, but I guess I had to sacrifice all that for mobility...
