Lenovo improved the Thinkpad in some ways, the "original" IBM thinkpads were unbearable for some users.

I thoroughly enjoy my Carbon X1 6th gen. This thing would not have been created back in the days when IBM owns the Thinkpad line

Yeah man, it is still used thoroughly in many businesses. Thinkpad (and to some extend, Lenovo) positioned Thinkpads as the laptops for ENGINEERS and BUSINESSMEN. If you are serious about work, you would equip your employees with Thinkpads, at least that is how they seem to be able to capture and retain the business market.

Sure, there are those who use Apple laptops which look nice too. But I would lie if I say I didn't get a Thinkpad partly due to its reputation. I can't be caught using an Acer or ASUS. No RGBs for me too.

Bestest keyboard and camera lid is a plus in this age. I do however wish they offered a Linux-native version. Dell does with their XPS line, but unfortunately it’s not available in MY.

The 1st laptop I use is IBM Thinkpad 700series I guess.

Black and white LCD, floopy disk, MSDOS and very thick laptop.

Than go through few series with macam macam feature design laptop.

Than stop using Thinkpad as it higher cost and change to many others brand. In/out many time to repair few from the TTDI IBM office.

Fast forward 20yrs+ now, never cross in my mind that I m using Thinkpad again. After fail to get a good spec laptop from DELL.

Using Thinkpad P72 now.

P series is the new thinkpad that has some resembles to IBM construction quality.

Lenovo killed that kinda construction after the t430 series.

I miss out many series Thinkpad in 20's. No more looking at it.

Ya, the original IBM thinkpad is tough.

What I like about Thinkpad is the electronic side is rarely spoil. Most of the breakdown is the structure. Specially hinges.

I m very rough user.
