Lenovo improved the Thinkpad in some ways, the "original" IBM thinkpads were unbearable for some users.
I thoroughly enjoy my Carbon X1 6th gen. This thing would not have been created back in the days when IBM owns the Thinkpad line |

I have a thinkpad, great laptop, love the nipplez ... but I gotta admit, it's pretty ugly compare to a macbook.

Thinkpad (and to some extend, Lenovo) positioned Thinkpads as the laptops for ENGINEERS and BUSINESSMEN. If you are serious about work, you would equip your employees with Thinkpads, at least that is how they seem to be able to capture and retain the business market. Sure, there are those who use Apple laptops which look nice too. But I would lie if I say I didn't get a Thinkpad partly due to its reputation. I can't be caught using an Acer or ASUS. No RGBs for me too. |

Bestest keyboard and camera lid is a plus in this age. I do however wish they offered a Linux-native version. Dell does with their XPS line, but unfortunately it’s not available in MY.

I bought myself a refurbished x61 as a collection, although it has no more IBM logo on it.
