Nothing wrong with taking public transport to work even if you have a personal transport. You don't live to work do you? That personal car can still be used for personal transportation needs

But I agree that people should stop parking illegally. This is not solely the driver's problem though. Town planning is horrible, they should make more park and ride stations or facilities.

If we are talking about Sungai Buloh MRT, the closest park and ride should be KWASA near Kota Damansara right? Kinda dumb to spend extra 15 minutes for them to drive there I guess. too bad they are living in such an ulu like Sg Buloh though

Last time i wanna support public transportation with my family.
Park n Ride at Phileo Damansara going to Pavilion.
Arrived at day(11~12) and going back at evening(4~5)
Total cost are more expensive than driving into town(including parking).

If you drive whole family better take car. If travel by yourself (to work for example) then public transport is cheaper most of the time.

Also, park n ride phileo is expensive. 1u is cheaper if you travel through enough stations. Alternatively you can park at ecurve on weekdays or surian tower on weekends and take the mutiara damansara MRT.

There is a Park n Ride at the Sg Buloh MRT station itself and it's a huge multi storey car park that can probably handle 500 cars. It would be very hard for space to run out.

But I'm guessing ppl illegally park becoz the rates are quite high. RM4.30 every day

LRT parking depemds, some like Gombak are multistorey and I have never really came across a day when it is ever full. If its an open air car park like Jelatek, then it csn be full coz limited space

have you tried it with the new rm100 pass? Parking still the same but ticket price for MRT stays consistent at rm100. if you want be more cheapskate you can take the MRT feeder bus, but have to spend more time waiting for bus

if i read the info board correctly, mrt user pay less than 4.30
still 4.30 per day is cheap IMO.

If park at Pusat Bandar Damansara and take mrt 1 station to phileo damansara (park n ride) , is the parking fees RM4.30 per day for mRT user ?

Not sure, haven't taken the MRT since pandemic started but RM4.30 a day is super cheap. Don't think ecurve parking is available anymore since they closed down. So now there's only Dataran parking at 1u and Surian parking but for Surian it's only flat rate for weekends I think. Even back then dataran parking is RM5 and last I heard it went up to RM6. No idea how much is it today.

Phileo Damansara MRT station. It's right across PD. Just take the integrated bridge to cross over.
