Just took a dive and bought a SS import set to replace my old xb one with a dying hdd. Actually I was waiting for Qisahn's stocks for SX sg set but got tired of waiting. Actually to think again its not that bad buying the series s for RM1699 for import set considering transport and tax charges to bring the items in. Was resorting to import set myself prolly from Amazon but it was all sold out as well and when it was available last time the cost of bring it in including postage+tax is around that price(RM1699) as well. So might as well bought it locally.

Btw, got myself the unit from GH thru shopee. It's RM1699 ready stock instead of RM1799 on their website. Now, patiently waiting for the item to arrive

Yeah. I am the same case as you but I took the leap gotten myself the XSS last week. The main reason of getting the XSS is because I only game with 1080p high refresh rate monitor together with my pc setup. I felt like my XB1 hdd is dying on me since it started to fail to load games and if it boots, sometimes loading would take forever

Weirdly, once I have gotten my XSS, my XB1 starts working normally. Its good now that I can put one upstairs in the room and the other one in my gaming room and can really see the comparison between those 2 in terms of graphics and performance

One things for sure the enhanced games looks awesome compared playing on my old XB1 not to mention the XSS loading time. Except when playing Rocket league, I feel that my XB1 looks nicer/sharper even on an old tv. Turns out the game only enhanced on 1080p 60 compared to XSX 4k 120. But playing games like MK11,Gears 5 and FH4 you can totally see the difference.

Storage space is an issue. I only managed to download about 4/5 enhanced game on my XSS I just noticed that Medium is on GPU. Going to give that a try later once I can clear/finish some games from the XSS. Oh and I kinda annoyed by the controller needing seperate batteries as the battery that comes with it is already needs replacing. I do not even play that extensively since last week. Prolly total 20h playtime. So on cables for now.

I'm not worried or in a rush on getting a PS5(for now) since I still have my old PS4 and mainly plays gt sport.

Agree with u on this. I guess it is just personal preference. Me myself have no problem with it(the sound). My only regret is that the controller for xss is white. Anyone with a black controller want to swap with mine?
