I think I also read it somewhere, but I'm not affected by it so far. Of course it could be because on my amplifier I enabled audio sync. And on the TV it also has some setting related to audio delay too.

Haha, right now only can wait patiently (doubt) for poslaju delivery >.<

My usual setup is to plug in all my gaming consoles and Astro box to the HDMI IN on amplifier, then HDMI OUT to one of the TV HDMI ports. But when I do that, I was unable to enable ALLM and VRR. They were just greyed out.

In my case the problem is my Yamaha RX-V685 is not HDMI 2.1 ready. So what I did is to plug the One X directly to the TV on HDMI 4 (the only port with HDMI 2.1). Then connect HDMI 3 on the TV  to the amplifier. HDMI 3 is for eARC. This setup works perfectly for me. I'm able to use 120Hz mode, ALL and VRR by bypassing the amplifier. While still getting Dolby Atmos from my amplifier via eARC.

Yes, V685 is not hdmi 2.1 ready. only this year receiver can get hdmi 2.1. But denon x1600h can passthru ALLM and VRR, just no 4k/120hz and QMS.

I finally read about the HDMI 2.1 bug for this year's AV Amplifier from Denon, Marantz and Yamaha. Apparently they all use the HDMI 2.1 chipset from Panasonic Solutions. 4K/60 is fine. Only 4K/120 is having this issue. I'm so glad I didn't trade in my RX-V685 yet! I was recently on an upgrade spree, having changed my phone and TV. Next up was supposed to be the AV amplifier. Thank god I didn't proceed. I was this close to doing it!

I postponed all my TV and Amp (in planning) upgrade to next 2 years until they fix the HDMI issue XD

Those manufacturer really need to disclose their HDMI socket capabilities next time ...
else we are like beta user once purchased...

I shouldn't pull my trigger on my soundbar also XD

I think the issue is 4k/120hz with vrr, disable vrr then will have less issue la. Actually console vrr not very important, cos console owes framerate is not above panel fps, no tearing will happen lol.

I pulled trigger on x1600h becos they package in 1 set polk audio s10e worth 1.5k retail in msia, then free another polk assist also. I am looking for surround speaker so i just bought it seems bargain to me and i only need earc, i dont connect my stuff to my amp. It’s easier to control from My C9.

Sure, but as a feature that they advertised, it's serious enough for me. The manufacturers also acknowledged the issue, so we know it's at least being worked on. The "good news" it's not related to design at least. Just a manufacturing defect that hopefully wil be fixed in the next revision.
