I'm here for Chaos and chaos with chaos and chaosing!! with Polo Tee XD

Man, very disappointed
*
yeah, that gonna be one of the biggest dissapointment of E3 history

first I saw, FF origin? hmm... not bad hmm.gif
then Team Ninja? drool.gif rclxm9.gif

then it's a straight trainwreck from that point

I'm still confused.gif at the end of the clip, wondering WTF have I watched, did I suddenly time travel 20 years back? where such crappy trailer is acceptable?

IMO it deserved to be in the top 3 worst E3 reveal of all time

dang! my R2 also starting to be sticky if you pressed it too hard
it will stuck there for 0.1 seconds before bounching back if pressed too hard for too long

I guess I've pressed it too hard during those intense racing games tongue.gif
as if your car will go faster if you press it harder laugh.gif

super fed up with the scalping of both xbox wireless headset and steelseries arctis 7x;
no retail priced stock to be found anywhere, and those listed are charging ridiculous scalping price doh.gif
also sick of the cable constantly getting in the way for my current wired headset

finally pulled the trigger on a used Arctis 7X from taobao
total damage is around RM580 with shipping

finger crossed i won't get a lemon unit

will update you guys here once it arrived in few weeks time.

Not a bad price. Ytd got ebay selling xbx wireless headset usd107, but if u add on the charges like shipping and import charge which total to usd60, the price is around 600+, higher than scalping price lol.
*
yeah, I saw that too, final landing price of USD160+ is too expensive
if we're in the states and it's free shipping with no import tax, then it's a super good deal, comes with 1 month of gamepass as well

Yeah.. seems like price around 500+ is reasonable but that price no longer can be seen lol.

At shopee got 1 shop selling 7x used 600+ tho.. seems like  9x is cheaper than 7x..
*
I was tempted to get the used or new 9X as well, since it's readily available and cheaper
but after reading most of the reviews, seems it has drop off issues, most likely caused by wireless interference, as I've experienced it a few time on my wired headphone to controller
7X seems to resolved the issue with their dongle, which can be used on Nintendo Switch/PC or even PS5 as well, i see that as a big win

you know what's the irony part?

most of the time buying from taobao is a lot cheaper than buying from those seller in peninsular for us east malaysian
as some of them will charge us exorbitant shipping price

for my case with taobao? it's only RM32 air shipping all the way from China, sometimes it's faster than local shipping too!

Game is so good, I'm still playing it.  Very rare that I'm playing a game after completing all the achievements! Going through the gauntlets of strength now which is basically the boss fights.
*
wah, really saluting you notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

i kinda gave up on the first big general, not even at the first boss yet

was thinking of trying other games end up didn't touch it for months tongue.gif

really love souls series games, but this one I'm having more difficulty than others, as this one requires more skills and timing, unlike others you can just brute force thru most of the levels and bosses with some cheese exploits or by OPing your char

still waiting for the mood for me to come back to this, DS3 are getting FPS boost now, hmm... maybe I'll try that first, but then again looking at the massive backlog, having second thought again

btw, Yakuza 7 is absolutely a gem for fans of DQ series, if you love DQ you'll love this thumbup.gif

Yes there was one stupid general that i spend an hour at just trying to figure out the pattern.  Once you start recognising the patterns and getting the deflects and counters in, the feedback loop is very rewarding.  NG+ and NG++  was so much faster than my 1st run.

That Yakuza backlog though.. I did Yakuzo 0 and 1, started 2 but wasn't great on my one x and never really went back to it.  Even though i've fully accepted that this series is one of those that i'll never get my 1000GS in, just thinking about playing through yakuza 2-6 is very exhausting - don't think i'll ever get around to playing like a dragon.
*
I was halfway thru Yakuza 0, but then got distracted by other games, again

saw Yakuza 7 on GP, okay, maybe just install and try it out, mana tau from trying become hooked tongue.gif

you don't need to play previous Yakuza to appreciate 7, it's not directly related, as it's new story new place with new characters

I kinda prefer the new character and gameplay in Y7, turn based battles are seamless & fast, at times I really LMAO on some of the funny & ridiculous battles laugh.gif

ok, finally received my used Arctis 7x from taobao yesterday
thanks to local logistic screw-up, else I would have gotten it weeks ago (local ABX used land transport from KK to Kch instead of usual air freight shakehead.gif ) doh.gif

first impression upon unboxing:
you can't tell if it's a used unit if it comes in the original box instead of just bubble wrapped, which they did a good job of using thick bubble wraps
For me, it looks like 99% new, didn't see any visible scratches or cracks, or any usual wear & tear, comes will all the cables and the type-C dongle

Compared to my Arctis Pro Wireless, it's the same size, but it's lighter, the ski band also feels lighter, including the ear cup also is softer

Switching it on is no hassle, plug in the dongle to your Xbox, power on the headset, and it detects and connect automatically

on the quality, I only can compared to my wired Arctis Pro to the controller, 7x is a lot more louder, sharper, and IMO, better sound stage, that's after one night of testing playing Yakuza7.

So, IMO, a very good buy for me if you can't find a decent wireless headset for XsX like me

tis is poisoning me to buy lol.. sounds like a good deal. xbox wireless headset selling at non retail price is totally a no go to buy. the headset sound quality is not too great to begin with. if is retail price only worth the money.

bro did u do any testing on music quality:?
*
I'm using it for gaming only anyway, I'm kinda tone-deaf too, so I wouldn't know if it's good or bad for music tongue.gif
For music I'm using another dedicated headset ATH-M40x

PSA

The official Xbox wireless headset is "available" for purchase now at Amazon at retail price, if you're willing to fork out extra 40% on shipping and taxes doh.gif
https://www.amazon.com/Xbox-Wireless-Headse...ding=UTF8&psc=1

but at around RM580+ it's still slightly cheaper than those cutthroat scalpers are selling wink.gif

will definitely not buying from those shit hell scalper who deserve a place in hell. Singapore selling also aorund rm450 per piece If you are providing buying service sell around rm500 is understandable. fuk markup to rm600+, that is just bullshit. where got so high margin oh do business lol.
*
yeah, fuk those scalpers, getting more of them ever since the covid pandemic started

at RM580, it's similar priced with my used Arctis 7X already, at least I still can use my 7X with other devices, whereas MS one only useable with Xbox

speaking about headphones, I'm gonna avoid any headphones using faux leather or pleather from now on, all of my headsets using that are peeling off after 1 to 2 years, which is super annoying and disgusting
that's one reason i go for the Arctis as well, fabric earcup, won't have such issue after few years

RM6K+ for a 55" LED monitor hmm.gif

IMO it's more of gimmick, top up a bit you can get a same size superior OLED TV
55" is a bit too big to use as a monitor to sit close by anyway

guess the monitor real cost is around RM4k only, throwing in a "free" xbox to lure in the early buyers tongue.gif

Just tried Microsoft flight sim.
Really impressed with it on series X.
*
yeah, literally makes my jaw drop when I first took flight, then crashed bcos too busy looking at the scenery and try to control the plane like an arcade plane tongue.gif

this is the most realistic looking & beautiful game I've ever "played" on a console rclxms.gif notworthy.gif thumbup.gif

btw, for those running low on storage like me, you can cut down on almost half of the default installation by choosing not to install the offline files, and choose to stream it instead

my 100M home Unifi seems to be able handle it well

Definitely harder to control than say…the arcadey ace combat

The world map graphics (like taking off from klia) seems average. (Still better than ace combat tho).
But the proper rendered maps are amazing.
The fact it uses real time data is great too.
*
yup, the rendered map are amazing, first time seeing my hometown up from the air in a "video game" is giving me goosebumps
major landmark like the bigger river and roads are accurate, just they can't "3Ded" most of the buildings accurately, I was like, since when my hometown got so many tall buildings laugh.gif
but nevertheless, I'm super duper impressed.

for the control, crashed many times even the controls are set to easiest
tried the land the seaplane on the sea in Bora Bora scenic flight and crashed
taking off is easiest, but landing I always crashed laugh.gif

definitely need to go thru the pilot lessons first to learn all the ins and outs of flying laugh.gif

QUOTE(tripleB @ Jul 30 2021, 12:01 PM)
The expensive part is expected. What's amusing is the number of things you need to worry about.

1. Make sure the size is correct.
2. Make sure the read speed is at least 5500MBps
3. Make sure the NVMe SSD uses a heatsink to dissipate heat
4. BUT make sure the heatsink size isn't too big

So not only do you have to pay attention to the things above, it is MORE expensive than the Xbox solution. I own a pair of gen 4 NVMe SSDs for my desktop, so I know they can't possibly be that cheap in the first place. Sometimes being "open standard" is not necessarily cheaper. And it's not like the Xbox SSD expansion can't have its price lowered in the future.
*
QUOTE(ben3003 @ Jul 30 2021, 01:12 PM)
lol ya need heatsink and cannot too big  sweat.gif  sweat.gif the wd black with heatsink cost 1.6k in malaysia  shakehead.gif

if third party heatsink so far still can find decent only rm20-50

this is good news for us anyway, cos making buying the 1tb expansion card more justifiable lol. ours 1tb local seller selling rm999 at shopee.
*
and issit just me or nobody noticed the big elephant in the room?? hmm.gif

the M.2 slot is an enclosed space with neither vent nor airflow, what's the point of having a heatsink there if there's no airflow to dissipate the heat?
yes by using a heatsink you increase the surface area for heat conduction, but where can the heat go?
Do they expect the heat to be dissipated by radiation only?

PS: I don't have a PS5 yet, but judging from the pics and videos online, it's an enclosed space
