The Apple Watch is under warranty until APR 2020, this morning chatted with Apple Advisor through their support website and told to send in for warranty claim.

Just now went to Mac City for RMA, at first they told me no receipt can't do, after ding dong a bit then say they can't do oversea set, only option is send back to Apple Singapore.
Called Apple technical support, but the line close at 6PM, chatted online again, but the Advisor can only get someone to call me back tomorrow to confirm.

is it true that the global warranty only valid for direct apple service center and certain authorized partners only?

Malaysia no Apple Store so overseas set no warranty. Distributors or dealers don't want to handle it because no profit.

Singapore has an official Apple Store. They can handle overseas set.

A long time ago I bought iPod touch from US via Amazon. At that time Apple US offered international warranty.

Fast forward one month, ny iPod got the white screen of death (iirc that's whag it was called). I sent it to the local (note: I was in Qatar at the time) authorized service center and they accepted. They couldn't fix it, so they replaced it instead.

So, is there an authorized Apple service center in Malaysia?

from what i know authorized Apple service center that operate by partners, yes.
direct Apple service center, no, nearest one is SG.

I also didn't go to direct apple second center. Qatar is too small for Apple, I think. But iirc I looked up the list of service center in qatar through apple website and found it there.

Try go to Switch, I had my XS Max HK set replaced at Switch no problem, even no need to show receipt coz warranty is in the system.

So far I like Switch the most, and dislike Machines the most. Lol

Edit: also Switch is Apple Premium Service Provider, if that’s gonna make you feel any better since not all got the premium title.
