I am living in Johor and Penang. Hopefully someone can recommend me a good Doctor. If you have bad experience with certain surgeon, please let me know, so that I can avoid visiting the same Doctor. Appreciate.

I stay in Penang and for my case (back in 2015) is ACL completely torn, with slight meniscus tear as well. I consulted two doctor, first one (I forgot who liao, sorry =.=) is from Loh Guan Lye, the doctor's diagnostic is that I need to first go for ACL repair, rest half a year then go back second time surgery for meniscus tear. This is not possible for me because I cannot be away from work so long. So I went for second opinion, Gleneagles, Dr. Chan Kok Yu. He's very knowledgeable and able to answer all my questions and doubts before and also after the surgery. Good luck to you!

Now you have already done the ACL surgery? How about the result? Get back your Range of Motion, possible to go back to sports, and sitting cross legs?

Get back your Range of Motion, possible to go back to sports, and sitting cross legs? Performed surgery around Mid January, since my case is more serious, it wasn’t until September before I dare to go back to basketball court for some simple shooting. Then, around November, I started to hit the gym regularly so that I can really gain back my leg muscles. Fast forward today, I am back to normal, but less aggressive already of course, haha.. Range of motion is one of the first thing you’ll be working to recover by means of physiotherapy. They’ll also work on recovering your muscles but you’ll have to be discipline as well in order to fully recover.
