Hi tire sifus, I've been using Michelin PS3 195/55R15 on my 2017 Vios and I can't stand using the stock tires for my Yaris, current stock tires is TOYO R50 195/50R16.
Have been looking around for the same profile tires sadly nothing much to pick.

Current tires to choose in my mind now is :

1) Michelin Energy XM2+ (Highly prefer due to using Michelin tires previously)
2) TOYO TR1 (Heard that performance wise is great but it wears off pretty fast?)
3) GoodYear Triple Max Assurance 2 ( Great performance, but road noise get pretty loud once tire starts to wear off?)
4) Continental CPC2 (Only used CC5 and saw some bad reviews Continental tires are easy to get damaged? )

Would like to have a review from sifus around.

My concern is :

1) Road Noise (PS3 is not the best)
2) Grip (But the grip is just perfect)

Thank you all in advance. notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

Been using XM2+, it's really a great all rounder, quiet and good wet braking. Cornering not so la, but can't expect economical tires to have a good performance.

UC6 is trash. Same with CC6 which is also trash. CPC2 is quite good albiet very very old model.

I've thought of this before but am curious if the tire would damage my fender due to the larger tire size? confused.gif

Just changed my Toyo Proxes R50 to GoodYear Assurance TripleMax 2, remain 195/50R16.

So far loving the wet drive performance and the road noise is minimal.

60 - 80KM/H going over water puddles/aquaplaning won't feel dragged, loving it so far biggrin.gif

I am using TripleMax 2 for one of my car too. So far satisfy but how is it compared to PS3 grip and noise wise since you've used both.

I am planning to change the rubbers and PS3 is top of my mind to replace the TripleMax.

PS3 grip is just so good, can feel the tire is sticked on the road, but the road noise will be noisier compare to ATM2.

Wet performance, ps3 is also great, still testing out ATM2 for now as the tyre is still new, so far so good, no skidding while aquaplaning.

Noise/comfort wise, ATM2. But I cannot confirm what will it be after the thread starts to wear off. Current tire status when driving on the road, 0-60KM/H noise is minimal. Especially those newly covered road, smoooooth!

Fuel consumption, can’t compare since my vios is 185/60R15 and yaris is 195/50R16.

But I did notice my fuel consumption went up a little(roughly 5%+-) after I changed from stock tire (CC5) to PS3(195/55R15).

Toyo Proxes R50 to GY ATM2, nothing much to compare, just everything from ATM2 is better. On the side note, Proxes R50 wet performance also got me crashed to the side wall x_x (was only driving 60KM/H down a bridge and left tire went aquaplaning)

Now have the new Goodyear F1 Sport which I think should be an excellent value for money, only around rm300/pc for 16'.

Don't know coz haven't tried yet but I suspect not that far off. Last time I used F1D5 which was the predecessor of this F1S and I think it's almost as good as PS3.
