 Feel cheated with cashback platform

Hi,

Anyone using or heard Milkadeal before? It is a cashback platform for purchasing online, just like Shopback.

I started to use it during the 11.11 sales. However, few days then my account reflected all the purchase transactions from Lazada but the cashback percentage is less than the the percentage stated in their website. Secondly, my Shopee purchase is not reflected. I sent an email to their support to ask about it. They said the amount and transactions is given by Lazada and they have no records on our purchase so they are depend n Lazada. I contacted with Lazada and they did not know who is Milkadeal. So, I wrote an email to Milkadeal support for their calculation but they just explain one transaction and then the other just passing by. For the Shopee transaction, they said contact them again if not reflected in the account after 5 months.

Recently, they suddenly voided one of my purchase in Lazada from the 11.11 sales. I email them to check. They said may be the transaction is being cancelled by the purchaser or the seller. I check my Lazada account, it should delivered and I already received the item. I screenshot the information in email to Milkadeal and a second follow up email but no reply yet.

Is there any agency that I can contacted them for help?

Shopback apps are basically a scam, the transactions are not reflected there.

U should just stick to a more famous n trusted cashback app like shopback. I gain back aroun rm800+ before from shopback.

Zalora, nike website, under armour website.

But i remembered the biggest i got was booking hotels for my vacation. Got around 300 if i remembered correctly.

1. Lazada cashback percentage
Please note that Lazada cashback percentage depends on whether you are a Maybank Visa verified user, whether you are a new or existing customer and also depends on what product category you purchased from. The rates are all published on our Lazada page here: https://www.milkadeal.com/lazada-malaysia. We strongly encourage all our users to go through the T&Cs to avoid any disappointment.

2. Shopee / Lazada missing transactions
In the event of a missing cashback transaction, we will raise transaction inquiries with the stores. However, as we are dependent on the stores to validate any missing transactions, we can only provide updates to our users as and when they come back to us. In most cases, we are only reported back on the successful transactions. And even then it could take anything between 2 to 5 months for them to get back to us (we update users as and when we get updates from them).

On this point, I would also like to highlight to you that your browsing habits also play a part on whether or not your cashback is tracked. Because invisible cookies are used to track transactions and if you visit certain sites such as price comparison sites, coupon sites, other cashback sites shortly before coming to MilkADeal, there is a higher chance your transaction won't be tracked.

To ensure proper cashback tracking, 1) Ensure MilkADeal is the last link you clicked on before making your purchase. 2) Do not open multiple tabs on your browser while making your purchase. 3) Disable all ad-blockers

3. Voided Lazada transactions
Lazada's data science team implemented an algorithm to automatically identify resellers and suspicious and fraudulent accounts who are trying to game their system. Unfortunately, Lazada refuses to share with us what criteria they use to identify resellers/fraud. We have been engaging with them to inform them that there has been cases of legit users' transactions being unfairly voided but they are unable to make any changes to the system citing that it's done at a regional level.

As all cashback comes from Lazada, their decision to void transactions come entirely from their end and we are not able to challenge it. FYI, we don't earn anything when transactions are voided. If we don't help you get your cashback, we too lose out on the transaction.

First of all, I am really admire your hardworking spirit. If I am your boss, definitely I will increase your salary and promote you to become director. You are still represent your company to reply customer inquiry using unofficial communication channel even though you only have 2 posts at the moment but it is a great start.

As mentioned in my first post, I have email my story to Milkadeal support at support@milkadeal.com on 6/12/2019 and 25/11/2019 for 2 different incidents. However, I am surprise to receive your reply via different channel. Yah, you are still a good person in the company.

Based on your narration, I truly sympathy on what have encountered by the company. It is unfair for the multinational e-commerce companies to oppress a Malaysian company as the company is unable to get control on its business operation, that is having sufficient information regarding its customer purchasing details from the e-commerce platform but has to depend on them to supply the information. When the regional team decides to impose any adverse decision on the purchase information of their legit customers that has been traced by the company, they do not have the right to voice out and getting the reason for the decision that has been implemented. Additionally. another e-commerce company will be dragging the purchasing information from its platform ranging from 2 to 5 months as indicated by the customer service in this posts and also in my email on 25/11/2019. With so many difficulties that the company is facing, I hope the company is able to operate financial sound in the next few decades and we should support this Malaysian company for always protecting its customers and giving great deal and cash back from every online purchase we make that is traceable from their platform.

Since it is impossible to make any changes on the void transaction as indicated by the email and the reply in the previous message in here, I cannot do anything but I would like to donate the cash back initially tracked in my account and subsequently labelled as void by the regional data science team of the e-commerce platform and also the possible untraceable purchase from another e-commerce platform to the company as my token of appreciation to the company contribution to the Malaysia economy and the rest of Malaysian welfare.

i stick to shopback~ even apply credit card they cashback using shopback. ( i already get RM300 witdraw ) pending RM200 need to wait for many month.

so far all my transaction is capture..
Just need to remember to click shopback only other before buying something

Chanced upon this thread; speaking of MilkADeal, I was initially skeptical on the overall concept to be honest.

Gave it a try, as I am a massive Lazada and Shopee user, and of course as I accrued the transactions, so did the cashback total amount on my MilkADeal account.

The moment of truth came, when I initiated my first cash withdrawal into my Maybank! The rest is history i.e. I am completely sold! brows.gif

To share with you, for Lazada transactions that are deemed to be 'reseller' or 'suspicious' by their data science team, they affect all cashback sites. Not just MilkADeal.

By the way, not sure if you have a Maybank Visa card, but if you verify your card with the first 6 digits of your card at milkadeal.com/visa, you can get RM5 instant cashback (no purchase required). Also, you will then qualify for the Visa upsize cashback which is significantly higher than normal cashback rates.

Yes - that is snapshot of my MilkADeal withdrawal account.

It is cumulation of numerous transactions (they range from like a few cents to like RM40 (think that is my highest amount per transaction). FYI - you can only withdraw once you hit RM10.

I have gotten to a point that even my groceries (as much as possible) come from Lazada and Shopee laugh.gif

Why you choose Milkadeal instead of Shopback?

I have both account but recently I signed and tried out with Milkadeal due to the RM5 Maybank visa and the item that I wanted to buy during 11.11 is higher cash back percentage than Shopback but a bit disappointed and regret now.

I tried MilkADeal once.

Opened a dispute because cashback was not tracked. Did everything as per their guideline. Did the exact same way as how I would use shopback.

They took the referral money and basically said "sorry, your cashback got lost blah blah blah".

First and last time. Had I known, I would not have even bothered with an alternative cashback site. Now I just stick to shopback. At least the few times that shopback didn't track (rarely), the dispute was favourable.

I think MAD is a scam so I wouldn't touch it with a 6 feet pole.

You can give a feedback to your bosses to not treat disputes with such nonchalance. Not to mention the turn-around time.

Due to the nature of how my matter was handled, I now actively advocate against MilkADeal. Any suggestions by colleagues to use your platform would be firmly redirected to other avenues. It isn't just about the money. It's about the principal. The company's failure to deliver, for a first time user, has forever tarnished its image.

those cash back money is EXTRA money for you. if you tell me that is your hard earn money and get cheated then yes please proceed to BNM police report or whatsoever channel to get back your hard earn money.....

I'm tempted to try out MAD since some transactions have higher cashback rates than Shopback but by looking at this thread, reception seems to be mixed.

Due to the nature of how my matter was handled, I now actively advocate against MilkADeal. Any suggestions by colleagues to use your platform would be firmly redirected to other avenues. It isn't just about the money. It's about the principal. The company's failure to deliver, for a first time user, has forever tarnished its image.

I'm calling it as I see it. No disrespect towards you personally. There was little to no effort being made to look into my transaction. Granted, it's not large, but if I am to commit to your platform, I would want to make sure that your team takes it seriously. Not dragging their feet about it. I'm one of the few people that read the T&C and user guidelines. I've checked all the boxes (hence why the other cashback platform works so well for me (and the countless people I've introduced to it).

The fact that a brand new user got the short end of the stick speaks volumes. While your efforts to crawl the forum to address issues is commendable, the root cause is still in your core team. There is very little frontliners like yourself can do. If the system in place is flawed, there is not much to be said.

I'm merely voicing out my horrid experience here to make others aware. Why trust a higher percentage of cashback, if there is also a higher chance for it to fail? Might as well stick to the tried and trusted platform.

The higher-ups should have made more of an effort in retaining customers instead of marketing. When you have a user that is scorned (such as myself), combined with the ability to influence others, you get threads such as this. And very vocal individuals who will not keep mum on their less than ideal experience.

I'm using Chrome to open Milkadeal, login my account and redirect to merchan't website such as lazada, watsons, etc.
After purchased done. I received cashback at my milkadeal account.
But, the mystery happen now. I also received that cashback for that orders at my shopback account too (Pending status) !!!
How can be like that ? I never open the shopback website and login. but why they able to detect my purchase record ?

Now only you start to worry?

Stopped using cashback sites for years. First used them when Samsung partnered with shop back (I guess since I can't remember). After few months, I simply gave up on them. They literally tracked you like crazy maniac.
