Any oanda users here... since yesterday, I get 'Market is Closed' error message when I try to place or close a trade, both live & demo accounts, on MT4, anyone else facing this? Just contacted support waiting for response...

I use VPS Msia through shopee, 2gb/2core, RM38, runs 7-8 MT4s without issue, in fact it is surprisingly far better than another company on shopee offering 4gb/4core at higher price but turns out to be offering a vmware clone which cannot be shutdown and is lagging as hell.

At the moment, it's the other way round for me, my PC is on 24 hours, I clone my MT4s to the VPS to run in case of power failure or PC breakdown.

To answer yr specific questions:

A. is it even feasible to have to run a EA 24/7 on vps that it can even break even on the price you paid?

Breakeven on RM38 definitely can lol.

B.does anyone have 16+ account that needed the higher specs to run on one machine?

I am running 16+ MT4s, a combination of live, demo & tradecopy on an old i7-3770 with 24gb ram, with plenty of power to spare for additonal accounts.

Lol, you need to set your expectations right whichever company you choose and test them in the right context, don't expect chrome to run smoothly on any 1gb/1core setup. Strip down each MT4 into only the symbols, chart, indicator or EAs you need and nothing more, you will use less ram per instance. Zip up your MT4 installer & data folders from your PC and ftp them over, install, unzip, overwrite, you will have your exact setup in minutes.

Only problem I had with them initially was their shopee support is a non-technical person who can't understand the most basic technical terms, once I started creating support tickets on their website & get actual technical people responding, it was good.
