To all the sifus here, I have quite a lot of free time and would like to learn how to trade forex. Anyone can enlighten me if this is doable via self learning? Saw many ppl follow guru or a team and I’m quite skeptical about that.

i learn trading on my own... this is very doable...

got plenty of online resources... and even more yt videos...

some gurus/teams are good... some are very basic... some are fakes... yes, easy for me to say but hard for you to identify...

so my advice is start with online/yt... paper trade for a year... this way you have some basics and if you wanna attend courses you have some knowledge to ask relevant questions before joining...

i just found out that wise gave 3.411 for transfering SGD 3k while CIMB gave 3.4067 for transfering SGD 1k.

for SGD 1k, WISE gave 3.409.

it seems WISE is better when the transfer value is large to offset the charges.

I wonder out there is there anyother better transfer ?

* Update at 9.12 am. after banking hour start, I verify again and CIMB quoted 3.427 for SGD 1k transfer. its way better than WISE. so the moral is to wait for banking hour. the exchange rate quoted by google is 3.34

it depends how market is moving... sometimes better to lock in rates not wait for banking hours...

self learning require a lot of time and money.

I think, just think,

If there are money from overseas being chanelled or in process of channeling into your business account without any documented sales or services activities, ...that issue should be more concern than your income tax.

Hello, I'd like to ask for some advise.

I'm currently profiting from Forex. I'm currently using LD to withdraw my earnings. Since I was told I am able to withdraw to company bank account / Sole Proprietor.

My question is can I withdraw it, and release the funds sort of like a salary to me, while also increasing my contribution to EPF?

1. I can do self contribution on my own, but I'd like to have the newly set up company pay to EPF for me as well to increase my contribution.

2. I am currently employed as well. so I am not sure what are the procedure. I know I can easily set up a new company with SSM and bank account.

Thank you.

thinking logically...

1. set up company... sole proprietor or sdn bhd...
2. employed by said company...
3. trade under company name...
4. company pays salary and epf...
5. you do additional self contribution...

what i don't know... can you be employed by two companies at the same time... can a company be set up to trade forex/crypto/whatever... all these i think best go ask lhdn...
