I wonder what makes yall trade FOREX rather than stocks.
Is it because it’s less manipulated compared to stocks? You know, some trading stocks app can simply stop their clients from buying a particular stock..... And Bursa stopped all trading activities suddenly without any justifications last year. Not sure whether yall knew these matters.

Or is it because of lower fees?

Today i got call from pxx bank advising that forex investment is illegeal.

he told me that bnm say its illegeal and should not invest.

Is that something i need to worry about? I told him i understand the risk and its my own responsibility and he just say he is only advising as per BNM rule.

Fyi, i topup using pxx cc. Just moved back to malaysia from qatar after staying there for past 20 yrs, no such issue there.

Anything i need to worry? Like withdrawal will be blocked by my bank?

I use ic markets and tickmill.. both ok for me.. tickmill lower commison than ic markets, both withdrawal so far ok..only Malaysian banks giving trouble

I have issues with my Maybank Premier account (one of the first internet based bank account with no book and branch) when it comes to transferring money with SWIFT codes back to Maybank. Maybank only gives me the MBBEMYKL swift code and HQ address as branch address but transfers still can't go through. I've even asked a friend in Australia to test and they get errors from their aussie banks.
