The FREE big pond next to Holiday Villa is not closed. Just that some time ago, there were minimum activity but last couple of days, I saw some activities and also I released 3 PB there a couple of weeks ago. Now must be about a kg each liao, lor.

Nothing, yet. Perhaps, you can check out the BIG paypond in Sg Piah i.e. about 5 km from Spg Pulai towards Cameron Highland. If not, go inside Kg Kepayang i.e. opposite Velodrome/Stadium - it's a small pond but cheap(rm5 per hour) to fish and can sell back the fish, wan. We had a gala time there 3 weeks ago. Freshly caught ara fish taken to Goodview Restarant (Gunung Rapat area). Yummy....

Sg Piah - Must throw far2 to where the "umbrella" is, wan.

Kg Kepayang is in Ipoh town itself. Got a signboard of this Cumpong, wan. Then, got signboard to lead you to this fishpond. I like this place 'cos got nice hut to lepak and make-out, if you wan. These huts are also under the cherry tree and thus is cooling. Here, don't cast to the centre of the pond - cast to about 1 metre from the edge of the pond. I use many small hooks with many small dedaks. Just go and check it out, if you have the time, lor.

My last employer was in Ipoh and I was there for 5 years before retiring.

For the dates 4th Oct thru 7th, all the 3 hotels near Bangsamran are FULL. FYI, I was pinning my hopes on Bangkapi Royal Rose but it was in vain. I even got my Bangkok cuntact to call but seems hopeless. I gip up, liao.

I think my BIL should be ok, kua. It's the kamikaze mosquitoes that I'm more worried. There's a travel agent next to the hotel that we stayed in Bangkok, remember? Well, the lady there speaks good english, mandarin and hockien. She has also tour, taxi and limo services. We used her taxi service to get to the airport, after checking out that it's cheaper, mar. Perhaps, I should contact her by email for:
1/ Hotel rates around Bangsamran.
2/ Pick up taxi service from the airport to our destination.
3/ Tomyam gf for you?

Thanks for the tip. When we were in Chiang Mai, after the plabuk trip, we found out that walk-in rates are at least 40% more than internet rates. Oh, we stayed in Downtown Inn.

Anybody interested? It's near the roundabout - next to the road that leads to Selangor Shooting Arsesociation. There are 2 big abandoned water treatment retention pond. Seems that the talapia is close to a kg. Dunno what else lurks inside there. Did see a few chaps fishing there, a couple of days ago. I'm available anytime. How?

I've emailed that Mrs Lim from Bangkok, liao. She mentioned that the 5 of us will need a van to take us from the airport to the hotel in Bangkapi or Bangsamran and a return trip back to the airport. All this for Thai Baht, 2200. I've conter-proposed to 2000.

I've also given her the 3 hotel names in Bangkapi. Hope she gets a good rate.

Awaiting her reply now.

Sorry. I did not go fishing yesterday. But, today, we were at the paypond in Kg Subang. Landed 4 pacu, niah. Many escaped. KNNCCB.

I hope BP can source the hotel for us 'cos that Mrs Lim had not replied for 2 days, liao.
