How was the experience Pokemon Sword and Shield so far? anything within the game excited you? compare to Pokemon Let's go Pikachu or Eevee, which have better experience?

I still stuck at gen 1-3, but still i bought it....overall is good but can't some of those 8th gen pokemon design.....too ugly liao....

on sword. going to 4th gym... was okay on graphic.. since last played was till crystal... then play ruby and black...

currently my 6 pokemons... 1 is the rabbit. other 5 is first gen pkm. lol

At Circhester now - about > 20 hours played so far since day 1. Could be faster but spent a lot of time at Wild Area and levelling up. This time even easier to level up the team with the always-on EXP share and also those exp candies you get whenever you join raids.

I even signed up for NS Online Family plan cos I truly wanted to join the trades... I managed to get the other 2 starters this way + one Dreepy... Waiting to level it up to Level 60 for it's final evolution.

Other than that, game is quite nostalgic especially the music in the Pokemon Center. The OST in some towns are quite good too - I quite like the soundtrack whenever I enter Turffield.

i can only say the gen1-3 pokemon memory is still very strong in my mind, so far just felt the design not very nice, gameplay still ok, storyline still ok

got a lot of girls play or not? I know hirano is playing.. but she is married.

only have 3 badges and cant catch the snorlax at wild area cz he lvl 36... i can only catch pkm up to level 35... so need to go hit the sand gym first.. then fly bak wild area to catch.. :/

Wild area and raid are addictive

completed the game after 97 hours.. completed the galar pokedex and also my first ever live-dex!

from my POV who is not a competitive player, i think this is one of the best pokemon game that i played, after gold/silver (i played the game since 2000 and only missing black/white version). the wild area is massive and i get all sort of excitement watching pokemons roaming freely in the overworld. also got super excited watching the likes of machamp, gengar and steelix just doing their own business in the wild!

totally worth the money!

every now and then need to go back to wild area? i go back 2nd time dy after the fire gym... cant catch my snorlax... level 36 :/

Was fun while it lasted, sorta too easy since all exp are share among pokemons.

I noticed catching Pokemon in this version is much easier. Maybe the catching rates % is this game is more lenient?

And the moment I realised I could spend my Watts on Quick Balls...

Too bad it's on rotation so the same guy doesn't sell the Quick Balls whenever I return to that particular location.

Machem mmorpg. Vast grass land with many portal to connect online players.

At higher levels and fully evolved pokemon, quick ball will fail.
The percentage is probably really high, >90% for each catch check till level 45+ Pokémon’s.

Just got my 8th badge yesterday.
Planning to beat the game later tonight.
For challenge I usually only bring 1 or 2 Pokémon’s and don’t dynamax in gym battles.

yes...after finish the game can go raid for gigatanmax pokemon...super hard to catch

I’ve completed Gen1,2,3,6,and 7 with completed Pokédex for Gen1 and 7.
Sword and shield is 8/10 before post game. It’s pretty good compared to the other gens.
Once I reach the post game, I might change the rating again.

Anyways, currently have an Eldegoss in my party with Sing so I tend to use her [or him maybe] to whittle down the HP and use sing to increase my odds of catching it.

Btw, any tips for which ball is best for raids? I have failed thrice to catch Centiskorch... 1st time Pokeball, 2nd Great, 3rd Ultra... Still fail.

you will need to return to the wild area quite often because:
- the level of pokemon that you can capture is being limited by the number of gym badges that you own
- different weather will cause different pokemon to appear
- wild area is your main source of exp for your team and for advance players, this will be the source for EV train (the hard way).

If you’ve it in your dex, repeat ball.
Else, dusk ball (at night).

from my experience, 5 star raids have higher failure rate to capture the pokemon. especially those gmax mons. just use your ultra balls and hope for the best.

last time, i failed 6 times in a row to capture ditto from 5star raid. damn!

Previous gens, money was quite an issue at the start of the game, this round - I think 30K already on hand when I first reached the mart in Wedgehurst.

So far I haven't managed to get into 5 star raids. Highest also 3 star and the Pokemon's aren't really rare... Few times I tried to wait for other players to enter but no luck. Any tips to increase my chances to join/have others join my raids? Most times the ones I see on the stamp are locked; hence couldn't join. Bummer.

what is raids? dynamax is also only available in this version right?

Clocked around 90 hours of gameplay to date, finish almost everything, now planning to do shiny living dex

Those pinkish lights you see at the Wild Area, when you grow closer, it's coming from those pink holes on the ground. When you click you will see an outline and type of the Pokemon you'll be up against. Most times I fought alone with three other AI players.

Hmm, 4th gym is sand? I thought Sword is Fighting, whilst Shield had Ghost as the 4th gym.

Haha, can't comment much on the Gen 8 Pokemon looks - quite like Galarian Ponyta though. The way they change Meowth's appearance in S&S is also quite amusing.

Yeah, level 36 too. His body/heavy slam kinda painful on my bunny, will try to catch soon hehehe. Onto gym 6 now iirc

fyi, treasures you find in the overworld (those shinies you found on the ground) restocked everyday. so, if you are short on pokedollars, you can farm the treasures everyday.

regarding raids, the game was released nearly 2 weeks ago and most player already completed the game. most of the time now, people will only be interested to join 5star raids only. which explain why there is nobody participating with you on lower star raids. furthermore, you can actually beat 4star raids and below on your own. 5star raids is quite difficult though.

locked 5star raids is simply because the pokemon in the raid is either a ditto or the gmax version of a certain pokemon. i also saw people selling 5star raids for gmax for certain pokemons

Wait till you see it's evolved form on Route 8. Haha.

Anyways, compared to the Alolan Persian [fatty cat] - the Perrserker looks like a barbarian/Viking.

I think you'll enjoy Glimwood Tangle forest [after 5th gym] since got chance to catch Fairy-type Pokemon there.

The free Gmax meowth you get is capable of generating a whole lot more. Quick way to make money for those expensive vitamins.

fairy as in clefairy right. met one trainer w clefairy. quite hard to beat. and its skill cause a lot dmg to my bunny

Rushed through the game and sold it in 1 week.I've never got rid of a game this fast.

Particularly ranked singles and doubles battle since I heard the battle tower is a piece of cake compared to super singles battle tree in gen7.

normal GYM is HYPE, maybe because of the Background Music is so COOL!

Story line, So So, but very Short @.@

Graphic is ok, Gameplay is ok, but only thing that make me feel so HYPE throughout the whole game just the normal GYM with that cool BGM.

Kinda feel like cross between Go and Let's Go, with its raids... And then adventures to catch Mons... Etc. Overall nice i would say, keeps me playing.

Done 21+hrs, Pokedex 145/216 and four badges so far, constantly going back to the wild to farm and hunt for better Mons...

My current party:
1) Lvl51 Chandelure
2) Lvl48 Noivern
3) Lvl37 Dracovish
4) Lvl42 Lucario
5) Lvl52 Inteleon
6) Lvl45 Growlithe (Will switch it out once evolved)

Currently having difficulty catching Snorlax after raiding it... And learning the ropes on raids, effective party members, use of items, etc. Am a Go player whereby most of these are not that crucial.

I feel Timer ball might be good too, especially for stronger and evolved Mons as you fight down and then try to catch them???
