Hi,

I am using Maxis Fibre with the provided TPlink C5v router and Huawei EchoLife HG8240 as BTU. As i am gonna do the modification abit more complicated than usual, I searched all topics here about the similar modification but found none. Seek for the help from all sifu here.

Here is wat i had been done, BTU LAN2 --- Netgear PlusSwitch GS105E Port1 (tag 621,821,822),
Netgear PlusSwitch GS105E Port2 (tag or untag 621) - --- LEDE router (Ros router) wan port
Netgear PlusSwitch GS105E Port4 (tag 821 & 822) ----- TPlink C5v wan port (then to Voip phone)

The results are very treaky after i tested several configs.

config 1 (as above) , Voip phone works fine, but LEDE router PPPOE dial failed, server no responese,

config 2, i plug the C5v WAN cable to Switch Port2(621 only), the C5v can dial through PPPOE (no matter tag/untag), and the Voip not working, down&up load speed as normal.

config 3, i suspected it's about the Ip address, then i changed both the Switch and LEDE router IP under 192.168.1.X, same as the C5v (254), failed again.

config 4, then i am thinking about the Mac address is binded with PPPOE, so i changed the LEDE WAN port Mac address as the same to C5v eInternet, still failed.

Read alot of threads here, some modifications seem to be very straight forward, esp those with the custom router build-in Vlan, but my case is with switch, very rare in the discussion here.

Is there someone have been done with this kind of modification recently?

pls help, cheers!

Hi delaciox,

I did try both configuration, taged and untaged, both were failed.

Now i am using bridge mode in C5V, and dial from my LEDE router, Voip and Internet both are working well.

So in a way, the problem solved. the only thing is my netgear router became redundant. tongue.gif

Now I can do alot of things with my LEDE attached a public IP.

Anyway, thanks for your help!
