Pos Malaysia eyes more digital services in the future
Newly launched Pos Malaysia e-insurance is the group’s most recent initiative in providing customers a better service experience
Tuesday, February 16th, 2021

POS Malaysia Bhd is looking to expand its digital service following the successful launch of its e-insurance initiative.

Pos Malaysia channel management and customer experience group head Azmil Othman Merican said the e-insurance service is the group’s most recent initiative in providing its customers a better service experience.

“Moving forward, customers can look forward to more services from the Pos Malaysia mobile app, which include financing, will, remittance and others,” Azmil said in a statement yesterday.

“With Pos Malaysia e-insurance, insurance renewal is made easy, convenient and available at any time. We will be adding more insurance providers and more insurance products soon, (so as) to offer our customers multiple options to suit their requirements,” he added.

Azmil further said digitalisation is an essential component of Pos Malaysia’s transformation strategy in enhancing operational efficiency and improving the way customers connect with the company in the current increasing technological market.

“As more customers are opting for online services through e-commerce platforms, cashless payment systems and automated customer support among others, digitalisation and innovation will be embraced as part of customers digital ecosystem and business value chain,” he said.

The postal service’s new e-insurance platform enables customers to renew their motor vehicle insurance through the Pos Malaysia mobile app.

To renew motor vehicle insurance online, customers need to provide their MyKad number, car registration number and other required information to receive their insurance premium quote.

Subsequently, they will receive their insurance policy via email after completing their payment online, which can be made via credit card, debit card, e-wallet or through the FPX online payment.

“Pos Malaysia is actively modernising our retail services through digitalisation, making transactions available both online and over the counters. This empowers customers to decide on their preferred and convenient options,” Azmil explained.

Pos Malaysia’s customers may download the Pos Malaysia mobile app from the Google Play Store (Android), Apple App Store (iOS) and Huawei AppGallery by searching for “Pos Malaysia”. Existing users must update to the latest version of the app to begin using the e-insurance service.

Besides offering online insurance renewal, the Pos Malaysia mobile app also allows customers to access new integrated features such as AskPos, Track & Trace, SendParcel, Outlet Finder, e-Consignment Note and Postcode/Address finder, among others.

Additionally, customers can use the app to pay their bills via a payment gateway that accepts popular e-wallets and FPX online payment. Pos Malaysia will provide up to 45 billers before year-end.

The mobile app’s convenience and features are popular among Pos Malaysia customers, and to date, there are close to 400,000 active users on both Android and iOS platforms, who carry out their transactions via the mobile app.

Well, since now Shopee can use coin to offset the TM Unifi amount, 5% is still acceptable range.

What is the best way to pay unifi for rewards currently?

7-11 only accept TNG ewallet for bill payments right?
PAM can't get grab points.

I'm very confuse some merchants accept specific ewallet and not others, fainted...

Since unifi also big portion of monthly utilities bill, maybe TS can change the topic title to utilities bill instead of tnb bill.

What's the best option to pay for tnb bill using ewallet to get best % of cashback / rebate?

I'm not familiar with elinking and foneapp, maybe someone can help

1. TNG VOUCHER hunt cashback (~10%)
2. Pam using boost for boost coins (~1.5-1.8% for level 5 - assume coins are to redeem partners wallet for Grocery /petrol)
*
Elinking - i think gone already
FoneApp - also i think gone already (they claim under maintainance, reminds me of E-pay, most probably gone already)
TNG voucher AT SEVEN ELEVEN - still valid
PAM using Shopeepay reward even better lah ...

For the ShopeePay rebates, ShopeePay needs to be activated?
My ShopeePay IC tied to another account got restricted and CS said cannot remove/delete the account,
couldn't verify my IC with another account, tried passport also tak boleh, so can't activate ShopeePay at all.

For PAM, any Penang users here? Whether Tesco E-Gate has the machine?
I noticed that it is listed among PAM kiosk locations but not sure whether it is still currently there.

Thanks

ShopeePay need to be activated BUT don't need to verified.

Thanks, so you use a credit card to topup ShopeePay and then pay at PAM?
Or is there a way to utilize GrabPay or TNG e-wallet?
Thanks!
bought bigpay credit using vouchers, macam i'm the one at fault applying the voucher, when the seller lists the entity as non-voucher category
*
Credit card -> TnG -> ShopeePay (via 7-11) -> PAM

But now TnG has not much benefit too...
Good thing is, if you reload CC -> Shopeepay, you are most likely cannot withdraw the fund
but if you bypass it via CC -> TnG -> Shopeepay, you are ALLOWED to withdraw the excessive fund in Shopeepay (if you are verified user la)
but do it frequently and get bonked by Shopee hahahah
