My daughter's piano teacher also teaches adults so why would you be embarrassed?

age has nothing to do with learning..

u can learn anything you want..at anytime..

I'm older than you. I'm thinking of picking up an instrument myself. Just my procrastination is holding me back. I'd say go for it if you have the motivation. Music is beautiful. And it helps to relax.

diploma/degree/phd all also got ppl twice older than the average age.
learning has no boundaries.

eventually u'll need one.
need to practice etc.. going to class alone wont be sufficient

There is no problem. Don't be shy because many years ago when I was younger and taking lessons, a mother also joined us.

I have seen retired pensioner in 60 to 70s taking piano lesson. If you think 22 years old and feel embarrassed, i am not sure you kuda or strawberry.

Just go and learn

I am 30, my instructor is just 20, with kids better than me down the corridors waiting for their turn.

My wife never had the opportunity to learn to play the piano as a child, and she always felt left out, whenever I jam with some of my friends. She tried to get me to teach her, it because I can’t read notes (I can only play by ear), I’m as useless to her as a fish out of water.

So, she decided to take lessons instead. And her teacher is someone that comes to our house and is young enough to be our daughter. No shame in that. Now, she’s pointing out the unconventional chord progressions that I utilize and telling me how it should be done “properly”. Pfft. Never too late or old to learn!

Ppl like u do for interest? I'm sure 90% of kids there forced by parents to look high keras.

Just do what you'd like to do and don't listen what everyone else thinks

If you're there to learn then don't worry about it! If you can afford it though can consider a private teacher

Buy midi keyboard. then learn with youtube lohh. It's never late to play music hehe

If you're concerned about what others might think of you, then hiring a private home teacher would be the best bet.

Of course there's nothing wrong with that. It's even nice that you want to learn to play the piano. Now the biggest challenge is not playing the piano itself, but overcoming the awkwardness. The fact is, it's all in your head. I bet most people will envy your courage on the contrary. Don't be afraid to realize your dream, there's nothing wrong with that.
