Hi all sifus, am looking for a new daily beater, and considering seiko samurai/tuna now. Any comments on these model?

For their automatic movement, is it reliable? On avg, how often should we send for servicing?

This probably has been asked before somewhere else, but I couldn't find something relatable here about restorations, so please pardon me on this.

I recently just got a few watches from my dad, one of it (the Seiko) is passed on from his dad which my dad just kept it in the drawer since the 70's. I have never meet my grandpa because he passed away even before I was born and I wouldn't say it has a lot of sentimental value to me nor my dad.
A quick search tells me the watch worth nothing much, but I just love seeing old watch being revived and being made useful again.
Surprisingly the watch still runs but I have not check the accuracy on it.

Now my question is, what are the range should I be expecting to service or polish/replace the crystal for such watch?

The model written on the back says 7005-8070.

Cheers bro. Some vertical play is common even on premium brands probably because of the ball bearing/springs or o-ring in the bezel mechanism. What’s off putting is the horizontal backplay that feels mushy. Even similarly priced Squale watches doesn’t feel this mushy.

Gotta say the spb143 has a beautiful dial and fit though. At least the unit I saw had perfectly aligned bezel and dial markings. Still undecided if I’m gonna jump on it.

Uncle seiko z199 baru sampai! Still testing, right off the bat, the pressure clasp is really hard to operate (needed to adust the tab using a plier).
End link 1 side does not articulate smoothly ( but when wearing not noticeable as it still can rotate like 60degrees or so before getting stiff.
Pros so far: Wraps around the wrist really well. Comfortable, but you will still feel the weight of the watch head..heavy watch,no way around it.

My first time buying aftermarket bracelets. I did consider strapcode's options. But for this particular model, it's very bling2 jubilee.

But why do you prefer rubber straps vs bracelet though?

Operating for approx. 10 months (when fully charged). - according to spec.

I've got few watches to wear so I'll be alternating but since this seiko are the new one so probably will wear more often.

May i know seiko's warranty are how long if u happened to know?
