I am wondering if Thong Sia MY/SG would perform checks/servicing or they will need to send back to Japan?
Movement is 8L35 28800BPH.
And if they do send back to Japan,. How much would it cost for the said work to be done on the watch ?

After some time, my SARB065 finally in time to service due to low amplitude. Apparently, the 6R15 movements do suffer from that...it just runs like its half dead on its beats.

I was given my first seiko 21 jewels when I started form 6, many years ago in the late 80s. Yes, if your son treasures it, will last a long time. I still have it, btw. Will post it sometime here.

Went to Mid Valley Boutique and was told to send back to Thong Sia, they will arrange for replacement at Japan.
Wondering if we can get it done in Malaysia, anyone to recommend? Appreciate much.

might not get too much luck at Nakano looking for Seiko 5s. they're mainly stocked with Rolexes and the like. Lemon in Ginza might have something.

2-3 years back thong sia said courier to japan would easily be around 2k. that's without any service/parts replacement in seiko JP.
