if u plan to be more then a casual player, a minimum time investment of 10-12 hours a week is needed

For the ip hunting thingy, you just have to try and then remember which ip range works good for your area. You can tell when the authenticating msg is slow means the connection is bad. It has to be instant!! lol, if not instant, reconnect till get a diff ip range.

This was my schedule when i used to play wow:
9am-6pm college/work
8pm-12pm wow, then sleep lol.
Of course if it's maintainance day it's not like that tongue.gif

sorry ar..its your own life, but 30hours a week...i feel is damn unhealthy

my guild is consided semi-casual, about 9-11 hours of raids a week, we are still no.14 on server, kara/gruul on farm, working on mags, going SCC this week

shhhh hush uuuu sweat.gif
dont really hang out much these days. been buzy ma, selling bits of soul to WoW~

Anyway i've played with people who are married and i can tell you it's either the best group you'll ever been in or one where you have to prepare to run back to your corpse lots of times. But fun nonehtheless.

Reckon it's the people you quest and do stuff with that makes the game fun and addictive. OF cuz purplez could be another attractive factor too...

Theres no such thing as casual gamer in WoW. If you plan to be casual you'll eventually get bored of it very fast cause you will be doing the same stuffs that everyone else is doing

If you dedicate a little more time you will be able to see more endgame content which will eventually lead you and your guild to spend more and more time in it. Theres so many instances for you to clear in a week time and if your guild still in learning process then be prepared to spend countless hours without logging off with an extra epic loot cause a lot of time will be spent on learning and trying out new stuffs

Its either you play hardcore or dont play at all otherwise its a waste of money. I'm sure everyone that plays WoW will tend to be hardcore otherwise you'll be walking around only in Karazhan gears while others will be walking around with SSC/Eye onwards gear

I quitted WoW a long time ago after my guild down Gruul and i felt that my life span increased by twice lol cause now i have more free time to do other things

I am not sure I understand what you mean by this? Or is it outright kiasum-ism in the making? RM45 a month and its wasting money if its not hardcore? Having said that I look forward for every Sun WoW MArathon! smile.gif

hardcore can be raiding every single night. even for a working person it's doable. just farm mats over the weekend. or even raid 5x a week is good enough.

raiding is not for casual at all. u don't succeed without the practice and the mobs.

leveling is for casual. non-heroic instances are semi-casual. heroics are still relatively hardcore since bosses like very hard and act like raid bosses.

and it's not kiasu-ism since any game, be it a video game, MMO or sports, is still very competitive. even if you're competiting against PvE, it's still competitive.
